Jazz and improvised music in generated like this, and Zen intuitive art, creating without mind, or beyond mind. When the piece appears to create itself, or come from somewhere else, it's because you've stopped trying to do , or play, or create, but you've let the process take over. It's also related to dream interpretation, when people say to solve a problem sleep on it. How this works is that your unconscious may have the answer, and during sleep it will reveal an answer, or deliver an answer based on stuff you've taken in unconsciously, but not registered in your conscious mind. The unconscious speaks in images, that is why the imagination is key, the ability to read the image that the unconscious shows forth. Ayat Nur "And Allah speaks to Mankind in similitudes, and parables, and Allah is The Knower of all things". This small verse from the Qur'an seems to address this process for me. Einstein says imagination is more powerful than intellect. I'm rambling now I know... Baldwin is my favourites writer of the 20th century btw. 🤭

What do you guys think of Samael Aun Weor? He self proclaims to be the next successor of Gurdjieff. Do you guys know about him?

He does not seem to have been the successor to Gurdjieff as far as I can tell. He's always seemed to be more derived from Theosophy and Rosicrucianism. He seemed to be fairly benign but he was also pretty messianic.

@ Many have been bottled up in the literature of Gurdjieff and Ouspensky, and no longer want to get out of there. Thus, they become more Gurdjieffists than Gurdjieff, as if Gurdjieff was the last word. Listen: Gurdjieff is nothing more than a beginner in these studies. The doctrine of Gurdjieff is incipient, completely incipient; if we stay bottled up in it we will never move forward. Keep in mind that now we are going to give you the Pistis Sophia, and that is where we will realize that Gurdjieff is just kindergarten. So do not get stuck in Gurdjieff. He is good for documentation, but not to stay bottled up there. The Gnostic teachings are greater! We are going to study the Pistis Sophia which is the entire body of the doctrine of Jesus of Nazareth, just as he delivered it on the Mount of Olives. - Samael Aun Weor I don’t agree or disagree with his message for beliefs are futile.
