After watching K drama for the last 10 years, I have rarely stumped upon such a good actor as Jo. I looked at his background, he started with theatre. I really think this matters a lot. He is so much more of a seasoned actor that other men starring on K dramas. Huge difference.

Shin Sae Kyeong is so freaking gorgeous and beautiful. She is also a very versatile and excellent actress. Love Cho Jung -Seok too. He is a great actor and their chemistry is so good for this show. Can't wait for the remaining 6 episodes!

That one scene he was asking why she'd come back was unforgettable, i literally stopped breathing. Watched that scene 10 times and their acting, just wow. Also their dialogues were really well-written too, i had to read the subs 2 times to understand their allusive sentences.

Have really come to appreciate his acting chops! He is able to portray the personality of a king who has experienced betrayal and intrigue to the extent he is hyper sensitive to anything perceived as betrayal. He is very believable in this character role, and his emotions, and conflicted feelings come through. Very well acted on both of their parts.

@@michellesiew3652 Nobody pays any attention to IMDB reviews tho, as they are usually inaccurate. Besides, reviews mean nothing. I've watched some of the highest reviewed, and they've been garbage, and vice versa. And this one is superb. Easily one of the best performances in a K-drama (Jo Jung Seok) all year, and very successful in both Korea and on Netflix (in the Top 10 non-English shows on Netflix for weeks).

Very good Kdrama actors...i watched their dramas before but this new one together I must say I fell in love with their chemistry. If Cho Jung Seok is not married in real life I must say they look good together and age gap too. Anyway just watched the ep.9 with uncovering the real Baduk is a woman n both tears while they kissed was passionate enough and tormenting...cant wait for the next ep.again. I hope they will get married and forget the revenge from Kong Woo...and the King will have a child with her.. that will be a good plot❤love it and will watch it again n again❤❤😅
