I've done all this but we have also secured the glass (and caulked all edges) with the best film available, and our Bosch alarm has anti vibration sensors specifically compatible with window film, so we will be alerted even before they can get in, as it won't go down with one hit. That way if home we can prepare ourselves. We have Crimsafe Ultimate but the new IQ looks way better. Everyone told us we were being stupid. Now they see our country going down hill and are asking us where we got everything LOL. It's not foolproof by any means, and if I was in the US I would be adding as much bullet resisting as I could but that's not generally an issue here so am happy with what we did. It was a stupid amount of money unfortunately, around 40K for a 2300 square foot house. That said, the doors and ceilings are oversized/high so it cost extra. It is what it is and I don't regret it. The next thing we really need to do is add a central UPS to give us a day of electricity in blackouts, that can both solar and power charge.
