Thanks for sharing this! Great look inside Nintendo. Poor Miyamoto left to interact with the interviewer without a translator.

Thank you for this. Beam Software made my favorite version of Roadblasters for the nes. Which was my favorite game on the system by far

RoadBlasters was on the NES? I didn't know that, I have the Atari Lynx version.

Don't forget "miniscule mastermind" XD I'm sure they meant well, but looking back at this from 2018, it's unbelievable how condescending they come off here.

Previously, Miyamoto could ride a bicycle, but now Nintendo imposed sanctions on the creator of Mario so that he walked to work for the sake of his health

I believe I played Super International Cricket on the SNES in the late 90s. Are Beam Software even around anymore? Are there any Australian developers or publishers publishing games for Microsoft or Sony Computer Entertainment these days?
@liamkeenan44027 жыл бұрын
hey man, I'm an aussie developer, there's heaps of us, its just Tony Abbott decimated funding to indie game design in his 2014 budget so its been harder, I'm building Australia's first open world GTA clone called P Platers set in Adelaide, we got a great scene in Australia, just needs support haha

there are plenty of Australian developers out there

@seanlees84294 жыл бұрын
Off the top my my head, recent indie hit titles from Australian Developers would be Hollow Knight by Team Cherry, Golf Story by Sidebar Games, Moving Out by SMG Studios, Untitled Goose Game by House House. Casual recognised hits like Fruit Ninja by Halfbrick, Crossy Road by Hipster Whale. We have plenty, and there is a big demo scene who do meetups, I've been to a few at Broadway at Sydney to see what's coming to steam greenlight or itch.io. It's a pity that in our media none of this is ever given any recognition.

I'm sure I saw some gameplay from StarWing in this video, and that game was definitely from 1993. You say the tape was labled July 1993, do you know at what point in 1993 StarWing was released in Australia?
@ArbitraryUploader4 жыл бұрын
Starwing was on the cover of issue #2 of Nintendo Magazine System Australia, May 1993.
