I think this meme has some actual truth to it. Since Sukuna's domain has no barrier, i suppose it can't really break another domain. So if Jogo used Iron Coffin of the Mountain, Sukuna would either have to protect Yuji's body with cursed energy constantly, becoming at least a little less agressive, or decide Jogo poses *at least* some threat and bring out his big guns to one shot him instantly. Either way Sukuna would win, but he would literally have to shrink back, and that would have made the fight as fun for Sukuna as Gojo's was

Jogo will always be my favorite character regardless of anyone else, he’s just simply the perfect idea of a selfless curse, yeah he’s an idiot most of the time and does stuff bashfully but his character is one of the most interesting characters as he is strong, however, he wishes to uprise curses as a whole and he isn’t weak at all, during the series he gets clowned on and gets right back up, the idea of knowing your good at something but there might be people who are better always is present in modern day society but jogo showcases you’re still good regardless and very much valid for it.

I have always personally seen Jogo's Maximum: Meteor as the ultimate representation of his goal of wanting curses to replace humans. Arguably the most famous meteor in history is the one that killed the dinosaurs and in doing so made way for humans/mammals to become the dominant species just like what Jogo wants to achieve for curses.

All the disaster curses besides Mahito aren't really portrayed as evil. They're personified and kill people without thought, but in the end nature itself is uncaring for humanity and you can't expect that from it. Mahito as a curse born of humanity is the only one that can be called truly evil.

I think an important note about the blackened teeth is that it may also be a reference to Imagawa Yoshimoto, who was known to do so. Imagawa Yoshimoto had a massive army, and was overconfident, camping less than a day's march from Oda Nobunaga's fortress and its much smaller army. Nobunaga's forces would perform a daring night raid and kill Imagawa Yoshimoto. This historical reference mirrors Jogo's tendency to underestimate powerful opponents. In Japan, Imagawa Yoshimoto is often portrayed in anime and video games as a buffoon and a clumsy idiot, the fool who tripped over the the pebble of Nobunaga because he was focused on a larger goal. If you played Nioh 2, however, you'd know this guy is an absolute menace who will gleefully carve you into sashimi if he isn't taken seriously. The real Imagawa Yoshimoto was a skilled diplomat and civil administrator, as well as a famed archer and competent military commander who had several victorious campaigns under his belt before his misstep at Sekigahara. He had every right to be confident, given his victories in the past and the overwhelming 10 to 1 advantage he had over Nobunaga's forces, with Nobunaga not being nearly as well known. However, that one misstep due to overconfidence was his downfall. This is mirrored by Jogo's performance in JJK: When he fights Gojo, he underestimates his opponent's strength and gets utterly humiliated, which naturally led to a lot of people underestimating him. However, when he fought against people who weren't literally the strongest human on the planet, Jogo demonstrated just how terrifyingly powerful he was. Then, when faced with Sukuna, a monster on par with Gojo, Jogo gets humbled again, although Sukuna would admit that Jogo was strong before the end. It's honestly brilliantly subtle foreshadowing for Jogo's character arc, basically being an immensely powerful being who gets regularly humbled by powerful foes he underestimated.

Jogo not winning and only holding his own made him strong, but also made him look weak to others. Edit: i feel like Mt. Fuji not erupting in a while somehow ties in with Jogo's potential not erupting through his own setbacks.

12:10 in Final Fantasy XI Meteor is a high level Black Mage spell that simply reads " Join with your comrades to summon a massive meteor from the heavens and smite your foes." The spell's mechanic is drawn from the game's opening cinematic where if multiple Black Mages cast Meteor at the same time, the spell's power is increased drastically. The tradeoff being that if the enemy(ies) survive Meteor they have a high resistance to it for the next five minutes in-game 22:50 Now that you mention it, things almost went differently for the show when you think about it here. Remember when Fake Geto absorbed Mahito he said "I was originally going to absorb Jogo but that's changed thanks to Sukuna." Imagine if he had something other than Ultimate Uzumaki and had his own take of Ultimate Meteor, that would of been sick!

I said this once before and stand by it. If Jogo literally had any cunning at ALL. He’d be the most annoying impossible to fight person in the series. Heat hazes, distractions, distortions misrepresenting where and what he was. But he is as many others are-a cautionary tale of Ego. If he weren’t so interested in trying to be equal to a Sukuna to a Gojo-we’d have a cursed equivalent of Toji. Damn shame.
