This episode predates _Doki Doki Literature Club_ by several years, and while _Five Nights at Freddy's_ came out a couple months before it, an episode of a TV cartoon show takes about a year to produce, from conception to airing. So, by the time anyone had heard of Freddy Fazbear for the first time, this episode was already being finished up in Korea, getting ready to be shipped back for final polish and airing in the U.S.

Fun Fact: It's confirmed that GIFANNY actually survived her CD getting burned, but she's currently dating Rumble McSkirmish (the video game guy Dipper summoned). Must be interesting given that their relationship started with her laser eying him.

Of course, the title of this episode, Soos and the Real Girl, is a reference to the movie Lars and the Real Girl, where Ryan Gosling played a guy named Lars who had a relationship with a love doll that he bought online and took everywhere with him.

To get an idea how much better season 2 is. Season 1 is mostly rated between 7.8 and 8.2 ended with 9.2's on IMDB. That is really, really good TV Season 2 is mostly rated between 8.8 and 9.2 ending with really high 9.8 and 9.9. Just amazing TV

4:40 I just realized the managers at Hoo-Ha Jamboree left someone's piece of pizza on the table until it *turned completely grey from mold.* Just like a real life Chuck E. Cheese manager would do.

I love a dating sim, sometimes they make me so emotional in ways a lot of games don't I do not however like DDLC. I cannot convey enough how fucked up my psyche got after playing that for like... A while.

I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the writers for the episode was inspired by the movie Fatal Attraction

Today's message is "ANYTHDING CAN HADPLEN." Also, Stan wears a fez similar to that of a Shriner. Shriners were founded in 1872 and are part of the Masons (Freemasons). All Shriners are Master Masons. The Masonry goes back several hundred years to the days of the Ottoman Empire. Back in the day (at least since the end of the 1300s) they were largely in charge of regulating the qualifications of stonemasons and their interactions with their clients and the governments of the countries in which they operated. They wear the fez (these days) as an homage to the time when the Knights Templars went to fight in the holy wars. Christians and Jews would wear these hats to identify themselves as such. Shriners are the ones with the Children's Hospitals and burn centers. The Knights of Columbus are a religious group, also a fraternity of active catholic men, who also do a lot of charity work in the world and were influenced at its founding in the 1800s by the Freemasons. But many people believe that they are a secret sect that has ulterior, perhaps even mystical motives. Stan is a mixture of both... Columbus Knights vs Columbus nights... It is also why he has the secret basement, was searching for the book volumes, and also why Bill Cipher has the shape that he does... he represents the illuminati, which some believe is connected to the Freemasons. (They are also rumored to be connected to the Knights Templar, which is a military order of the catholic church. They are rumored to be very rich and secretive and also connected to the illuminati.) It is all the secret order stuff that Stan practices in the show! Also why there are secret codes and ciphers throughout the show!
