A man drove to Yosemite and at the entrance he told the ranger, "I've only got an hour before I have to leave. What should I do?" The ranger offered this advice, "Pull over, sit on the curb and cry."

Hey, just wanted to tip my hat to you man, you’ve got the right attitude. I’m a lifelong rider, almost 70 years old, and have been involved with many cycling confraternities. They’re not often warm and inclusive. I think that both you and Jasper are great representatives for the sport. Thanks for making us all look good...

Thanks for the videos Tyler. I watched the videos you did with Chris Miller and visited Yosemite in September this year. Was fortunate enough to convince the wife to drive the rental. Stayed at Big Trees Lodge. Rode to Yosemite Village, did the tourist things there and the wife drove me up to Glacier Point. She drove back to Big Trees Lodge and I rode back and saw a bear by the side of the road. What a memorable day.

Awesome video. Yosemite is my favorite national park. period. Be warned, though: reserving a camping spot on the valley floor is EXTREMELY difficult. Your best bet is crane flat campground which is few miles out of the way but less challenging. Just expect to book it on the first hour (read: minutes) of availability.

Thanks VC for this yet another great video. I definitely was looking for this. I am thinking of driving up from Fresno (stay in a motel) and driving up to Wawona Lodge or even Bass lake in a rental car with my bike. The plan is to start from Fresno really early in the morning 4:00 AM, reach Wawona, park over there, and start riding to the valley, maybe ride around for the day, then return back to the car. The second day I might try riding up to Glacier point, unfortunately I have never ridden uphill. My trip is planned for May end. I would like to have camped in the valley, but I have zero skills in camping... Are there places in Wawona or Bass Lake where the car can be parked for an entire day until evening?? What about passes, I believe one needs a park permit for visiting national parks in California...

I do tours, for about $500 I put up in my house, feed you home cooked meals, take you into Yosemite, supply all the ride food and lunch and do a dinner afterwards. It's badass. We can also do a 2 or 3 day mini camp if you're up for it. Email me at VC@THEVEGANCYCLIST.COM if that at all sounds if interest.
@yiata6 жыл бұрын
Nooo...you're revealing all the insider secrets. Now my early May trips to Yosemite will be even more crowded. Seriously though, the tent cabins are not bad and you can get heated ones. But you do need to reserve early (like 6 months early). And if you have kids, then biking in the valley is unbeatable.
