I began this audiobook project some years ago when some friends of mine jokingly said they'd read A Song of Ice and Fire (my favorite fantasy series) if I personally recorded the whole series in audiobook form and sent it to them. Having now made my way almost through the first two books in the series, I decided to join the small community of people who post their own amateur audibook readings to youtube, and share my efforts.
I have no intention of profiting off of the work that is copyrighted to George RR Martin. This upload is a tribute to a series I deeply love, and I strongly encourage you to purchase these books. You won't regret it.

Just a reminder that in Feast Cersei is told Davos was killed, so many of us didn’t know he survives until this chapter. And worse for those that read Feast in 2005, they had to wait 6 years to find out the truth

That’s the thing. Wylla doesn’t know how to hold her tongue. But what she says is exactly what the Manderley’s actually feel. They are Northern supporters through and through. They like the Mormonts intend to follow Stark. Rickon if they can find him. It’s just the little girls like Wylla and Lyanna tell it bold and true while their older families play the game.

I could already tell everyone knows who the bad guys and good guys are. Davos's problem isn't trying to convince the good people of who the real enemies are. His real problem is trying to convince them that even though the good path is hard and painful, it's still the right thing to do.

I'm more afraid of Stannis attacking wyman in the battle. In his mind currently Wyman killed his hand so it will be a case of Manderly betraying Bolton for Baratheon and Baratheon believing Manderly to be foe and attacking them. It sounds too much like this will happen.

I agree with Ender that this is a worrying and likely outcome. I mean, think about it, how many people who dedicate themselves to vengeance in this series seem to be heading towards a good end? I think if there's one law of GRRM's moral universe, it's that vengeance is an ultimately crappy goal, far removed from justice, that dooms anyone who pursues it.

@@DavidReadsASoIaF Doran's fate was foreshadowed in the very first lines of Areo Hotah's pov chapter with the blood oranges being overripe. As much as I wanna believe Wyman is in the middle of Catelyn's impulsive nature and Doran's over cautious nature, revenge brings self destruction no matter how much effort and care you put into it.

jeez I hope not! Do you think the Drowned God is "real?" That's the one I'm most uncertain about. My theory (shared with some theorists, i don't remember which ones) is that many Gods across the world are real, but rather than being ontological linchpins as we moderns understand "gods," they're monsters (who possibly were once human/mortal) that feed on human blood. The Drowned God has so far done squat on Planetos, but the fact that he's fed on blood sacrifice, like every other "God" shown to have some effect on earthly events, is concerning.

@@DavidReadsASoIaF To be honest the possibility of one of the biggest Lovecraft references in this world being real scares me. But the Ironbnorn are one of my favorite peoples in the books. They are olso one of the biggest Cehovs guns in these books. One of my favorit ideas is that Theon is a reincarnation of the grey king. This means he may slay a dragon (figuratevly or literally). Neat theory by the way. Hope your cats are fine.
