Sol: Keep the camera upwards, I'm using pop up camera from 1 year and I haven't got any problem. And the thing of camera showing your video when someone video calls you, see video at 2:50 , I mean everything will do that, the non pop up camera will also show your picture and so do the pop up one. One advantage is you will come to know if someone is watching from your front camera, what I mean is its is undetectable on a non pop up camera phone but one will find out if his/her camera is popping up unintentionally.

Thanks for sharing this👍 I checked it on my RealmeX, during an incoming WhatsApp video call the pop-up camera didn't open on its own because I had fingerprint lock on WhatsApp. Also after unlocking WhatsApp the other person can't see your face till you attend the incoming video call, I confirmed it from my friend who made a video call to me on WhatsApp, he was not able to see my face till I picked up the video call.
