Now a 'typical dashcammer' would have also seen the silver car from the distance and already planning ahead adjusting his speed to be in the exact spot to be able to almost* crash into him and have a good blast of the horn...all for extra youtube footage Your priority is to get from A to B safely and help everyone else do the same A Dashcammers priority is to get as much footage as possible while getting from A to B, second is safety.

But, but.. this makes for a boring dashcam video! Instead you should have deliberately accelerated towards the car, before sounding your horn for at least 10 seconds and slamming on your brakes, followed by some swearing and aggressive light flashing

I mean it's difficult to determine whether it would have been a dangerous situation. BMW driver probably thought there was enough space, had there been less space because our cammer didn't increase the gap, would they still have pulled out?

1. Driver with camera had multiple chances for returning back to slow lane, but kept going and kept on blocking fast lane all the way 2. No dangerous situation spotted. The Audi simply check if there was enough room to overtake and check so by speed of the upcoming driver with dashcam. If camera driver didn’t slow down, Audi wouldn’t have enough room to overtake and wait for him to pass by … 3. Highway is for all cars and specially fast lane. Not just for those with dashcam seeking dangerous situations where it isn’t 😉✌️

Audi jumped into the fast lane forcing the other car to significantly reduce speed and you call that safe? Author was moving noticeably faster than the slower lane and when they had a chance (not necessarily a one they should use), they left space for those joining the highway traffic on the slower lane. Somehow only Audi had to cut off other drivers.

1 - I disagree - there were no places where this driver could have returned to the inside lane without coming into conflict with vehicles they were overtaking. 2 - No dangerous situation spotted - that was because the driver avoided it. Whilst it is quite possible the silver car might have waited to overtake, it is equally possible that the silver car was driving impatiently and would not perform their overtake correctly. Their close following distance and lack of signals before changing lanes twice are evidence of this behaviour. 3 - Correct, the driver with the camera was driving exactly as the highway code intends and following the rules of the road. This video demonstrates how some anticipation and planning avoids dangerous situations. Remember, most drivers are not seeking danger - it often happens because they are not paying attention.
