Hello CR! I am originally from France but have lived in multiple countries. I chose to go to Tilburg law school for the unique bachelor it offered. Since I had an international upbringing, I felt it was really important for me to keep that aspect in my higher studies. This is why I particularly like the 'global' aspect of my course. As for my masters, I am still considering my options (I'm currently in my first year so I have time), but a masters at Tilburg University would most definitely be possible.

What is the difference between Global Law programme and other programmes, e.g. those that focus on international or EU law?

Hi Gabriela! The difference between an EU law bachelor and GLB (Global Law Bachelor): The GLB takes a broader point of view when studying law, whereas European law (though still broad and complex) has a narrower stance. This is because it is regional law. In other words, EU law is more specific than GLB and only applicable in the EU. GLB is more 'spread out'. For example, you can study aspects of EU law one week and then study domestic law in Japan the other! It basically teaches you how to switch, adapt and understand law from another country - should you need to. The difference between international law and GLB : A GLB or international law bachelor would be very similar. One of the main differences I can think about is one my friend pointed out: international law would mostly focus on agreements between states and their relationship with one another whereas, GL would be comparing different legal systems to one another when responding to the same challenge.
