In Chaing Mai I found Bolt, ride share prices were cheaper then Grab almost always. I think they wanted to grow market share but I always ended up taking Bolt. It's all the same but when you're traveling it's good to save little money because it all adds up.

You're absolutely right-saving a little here and there does add up when you're traveling! From my experience, the Indrive app is actually even cheaper than Bolt in many places, but the downside is that not many drivers tend to accept the rides, which can be frustrating at times. Bolt has been a great option for me as well in Chiang Mai, especially with their competitive pricing compared to Grab. Thanks for sharing your experience!

@HamidWanders I've been meaning to try Indrive, any suggestions, tips?

@@StormRider-k8j Indrive is definitely worth trying out! My main tip is to always negotiate the price before confirming your ride-since the app allows both passengers and drivers to set their offers, you can usually find a fair deal. Also, check the driver’s reviews and ratings to ensure a good experience. Make sure to double-check the pickup location in the app, as drivers sometimes miss it. And if you’re traveling in a busy area, be patient-it might take a bit of time for a driver to accept your offer. Hope you enjoy using it! Let me know how it goes. 😊

Telle of you would sign even a 6 month lease in Chaing Mai or Da Nang, Vietnam?

I really enjoyed my recent visit in Vietnam and I’d say Vietnam

@HamidWanders you know the only thing that maybe a drawback for you as far as staying long term in DaNang. Is that the beach isn't as nice as Thailand beaches. It's just a long stretch. I don't know if that matters for you but that's really the only downside I can see. In terms of price I think Vietnam is better. Plus Vietnam accommodations and food are reasonably priced. I think my comparison is wrong it makes more sense to compare beach places not Chaing Mai to DaNang because there is no beach in Chain Mai.

@@StormRider-k8j Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I totally get what you mean about the beach in Da Nang compared to Thailand. For me, though, staying long term isn't really on the table-I usually don't stay anywhere more than a month or so. I like to keep moving and exploring different places. But yeah, the affordability of Da Nang is definitely a big plus!

@@StormRider-k8j Yeah, I get what you mean! Da Nang's beach is long and nice for walks, but it doesn’t have that tropical island vibe like Thailand’s beaches. It’s more of a city beach, while places like Phuket, Koh Samui, or Krabi have more scenic, postcard-like beaches. But yeah, Vietnam is definitely great for affordability-accommodations and food are solid for the price! And you're right, comparing Da Nang to Chiang Mai isn't really fair since one has a beach and the other doesn’t. A better comparison would be Da Nang vs. Pattaya, Phuket, or Hua Hin.
