A little video of a day of felling, skidding, and chipping on our family's logging business. I made this video especially for my 3 year old son who loves tractors but can't be there to watch in person.

My 4 yr old twins want to ride in my fuel tanker and they don't understand why they can't.

Why the dual tires on flat solid ground? Just wandering.
@jamescarter15005 жыл бұрын
Because when it rains in the plantation you will need them. No root mat to ride on. That's why you see roads patched in ,in some places

@@walkerjoe651 I got twenty years in the forest! About 30,000 hours in a track cutter and the rest of the time shoveling, pulling and putting it on the truck. And you don't be BS'ing weyerhauser you aren't fixing to tear their ground up and if it's 3" in diameter and 12' feet long you better put it between some bolster's!

That was just a Old Spot Truck. The video really show us that there drivers """don't have 2 wait""" on a Chip-Load. Drop-and-HookUp,,,, and ride back to the Pulp Mill. Rogeraaaaaaaaaaa'. That's ("""""Logging CB radio Talking"""")

Where's the limbing gate help knuckle boom
@jamescarter15005 жыл бұрын
There is no need for one when you're chipping it all. The debarker will take care of that

This is the kind of work what my father used to do

Don’t need a limbing gate with a chipper . It ain’t like he’s having to fight them limbs in a delimber, he’s just shoving em right in the chipper .

Skidder man will kill loader man grabbing all that trash when gathering wood up. Trust me I know I'm a loader man lol
@jamescarter15005 жыл бұрын
Don't make no difference when you're chipping. Try an pick out the dirt balls but the chipper will handle the rest
@capefearlogger67734 жыл бұрын
That trash slows you down , but in a way, it will also make you better. I run a loader .
