A DAY AT THE BIGGEST LAKE IN RWANDA | Bats island, Monkey island and Peace island in Lake kivu

hello guys 👋
today’s video it’s about a day at lake kivu in karongi district. you are going to aer the things tou can do in karongi district.
Karongi is a district in Western Province, Rwanda. driving from kigali to karongi is 3hrs.
Karongi a popular weekend getaway for locals from Kigali and other places. and has many wonderful resorts on the shores of Lake Kivu.
Lake Kivu, Rwanda’s largest lake, and makes up a good portion of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo’s shared border.
we had a stop at Ndaba rock which was the first actuvity we have to do in karongi district
then after we continue to lake kivu where we visited 3 most popular islands that are in lake kivu:
*Napoleon which is know as bats island 🦇 cause there are so many bats there. and this island is the highest island in lake kivu.
*Peace island which is know “Amahoro island” this island for picnic and also you can camp there
*Monkey island: The popular name Monkey Island comes from the fact that there is a small population of vervet monkeys inhabiting the island.)
after we had a late lunch at one of hotel which is near by lake kivu
best views, relaxing and calm place
after lunch we had fun relaxing there then around 6:30 pm we come back kigali
the trip was so nice.

It is uncommon to find already built houses for sale here however they usually range between $35,000 and more depending on the house design and size. Most people usually prefer building their own houses in this part of the country.
