Beautiful in every regard, the boat, the weather the waterway, the peaceful ease in which you spent the day the music and drone shots, the soundtrack of wood sailing through water - but most of all those two loving children... Sailor Boy and Angel Princess and of course WonderDad who carries the boat onto the trailer and later serves ice cream and chips Sir you are wealthy beyond many's dreams with family like that. Thank you so much for sharing. Later I'll be showing my wife

Superb to watch. Such a pleasurable sail. Proof that when early mammals left the sea to walk on the land others switched to dinghies. Thanks for sharing and for the smile.

Just the thing I needed on a cold winter day in Atlanta. Beautiful little boat, lovely family, and a quiet day on the water with the kids. What more can any one ask for? Many thanks.

Nice video Davilla7 , I especially loved the aerial shots.

Thanks Fabian. Yeah I think a few aerial shots really give some great perspective on what messing about in small boats is all about.

I guess the obvious advantage of this gunter rig is its simplicity when sailing, compared with a sloop rig with jib etc. Can anyone tell me what might be the advantages of a sloop rig on a small dinghy, if there are any? Thanks
@thowun76146 жыл бұрын
a sloop can go closer to the wind and modern sails build up a much more precise profile .with two sails you can balance a boat to have very little force on the rudder.but thats only a matter of performace,its not needed if you yourself dont.

just curious, how or with what did you manage those aerial photos? good stuff mate
@OldDadProductions8 жыл бұрын
Using a Phantom 3 Advanced Drone. Extremely easy to fly and takes high quality video and photos, very useful bit of kit for recording the great places we go in our boats.

Silly me! I've always carried an anchor in my dinghy. What a waste of space!

Yes well, me too actually. But the boat had had everything out of it for a big clean up the day before, and guess which bit was not put back in...

Statistics show that when there is a family boating accident, they find the children safe with life jackets. For an added bonus, the children get to watch their parents drown, because adults don't need life jackets.
@johnstarkie99486 жыл бұрын
fedup Dads don't need life jackets because they are a superior form of life. Women and children can't cope with falling out of boats, so it's safe to leave them on a sandbar while dad sails alone.
