A day-long bear viewing tour in Chinitna Bay, Lake Clark Nation Park in Alaska. We flew in a single-engine Cessna and landed on a beach. We were a team of six, five tourists and our pilot cum guide. This was the experience of a lifetime. After spending six hours among the brown bears of Chinitna bay, we returned to Homer, where we stayed for the night.
The tour was with Scenic Bear Viewing Tour operated from Homer, AK.

This tour was with Scenic Bear Viewing out of Homer AK. How do I know? That’s my plane and I am the pilot/guide.

You were WAY to close to those cubs. First, that's illegal to approach that close, it's one thing if the bears approach you, but you can't move in like that. Second, you were lucky mom was in a good space, if she got wind of anything she'd have taken you out. That was luck, not something to put on here as a typical experience. And before you come at me, I'm a wildlife photographer in Homer and work for one of the bear viewing companies.

Agree to your broader point. But here is some context, the cub approached us and our guide made it little too close. He also said the mama bear comfortable with him as they keep seeing each other in the bay.

Is it me or are these people invading the space of these animals? It is not appropriate at all in my opinion
