@@augustkravtsov wow, thanks for this information but omg you don't get it. How are children supposed to learn correctly English if the teachers pronunciation is like this. And I just meant to say that my school in the other part of Germany don't let teachers teach if their pronunciation is that bad. Also I didn't said that an accent is something bad but for teaching it is not very good you know. Because the children can get confused if they start to hear a native English speaker talking.

It must be scary to read German out loud in a class full of German native speakers. Hebe, I see that your parents must have treasured you and installed a lot of self-confidence in you. About the teacher's accent, I think we have to take into consideration that she was switching between languages as she talked. I am sure her German accent would be less if she was speaking in English only without going back to German from time to time.

I'm so glad that when I was at Gymnasium, we had an English teacher from the UK who actually was able to teach us proper pronunciation and make lessons a little more interesting. But I think your video really is showing a more TYPICAL German English lesson. Like, with a teacher who is having a very strong accent. I get this somehow - many teachers are older and didn't learn English early enough for doing better, or maybe had teachers with accents as well, etc. But on the other hand, I still think it's somewhat problematic/difficult, because I wonder how are students supposed to learn proper English from someone who isn't even able to do pronunciation right? But well, I guess at least students nowadays have more options and have it MUCH easier to use good references in their free time thanks to the internet (YT, haha!)... Back when I was just starting to learn English more than 15 years ago -dang do I feel old rn-, school and some rare times books or newspapers, and songs on the radio, were the only "free time sources" for "real English", which didn't help this much. (Our awesome teacher did, though...!) Thank you for sharing your experiences, even for me as a German it's interesting to see. (And a little bit weird how things seem to have NOT changed much AT ALL, haha)

We Japanese love Germany and Germans very much.Germany and Germans are the best in the world. God bless Germany and Germans.Japan's national anthem Kimigayo was made by Hayashi Hiromori and German Franz Eckert.Japan made the constitution, medicine, the army in by reference to Germany during the Meiji era. Japan succeeded in modernizing thanks to Germany. Japan learned a lot from Germany. There are two Germans statues at the University of Tokyo in Japan. There are many other German statues in Japan. Germany is a Japanese teacher.I always pray to God for the eternal happiness and peace of Germany. We Japanese sent 9,000 cherry blossom trees to Germany in 1990. It is said that the money of this cherry blossom trees is gathered by the donation of the Japanese and bought a cherry blossom trees . Almost all Japanese people participated in donations. The Japanese always cooperate with Germany. This cherry blossom tree is still in Berlin. We Japanese love Germany and Germans very much. Japan imports many German products to support Germany. The most imported cars in Japan are German cars. Most of the cars that run in my town are German cars. This is a story that Japanese people helped Germans in japanese Okinawa Miyakojima, Japan. In 1873, the German Merchant shipRobertoson was hit by a typhoon. The ship was aground off Miyakojima Miyakokuni. At that time, the islander rescues the crew. They gave some food to the Germans. They gave Germans a place to sleep. The days were 34 days. And the islanders put a lot of food and water on the ship and sent the Germans to Germany safely. There are still monuments sent from Germany in Okinawa.Japan will always help Germans from now on. After the war, the German city was destroyed and many Germans were killed. We Japanese are very sad about that. I pray to God that Germany will never be unhappy again. There is a tower in my town praying for the Germans soul to be saved.

Yeah, but as German people who know that we can't learn pronunciation from a person who doesn't know it themself (bc let me tell you, even if someone is saying something the correct way, a teacher like that will always try and make you say it different bc they think they're right). Also we know you can learn how to have at least less of a German accent than that. If you speak English for a long enough time, you will get better at it, if you aren't completely incompetent. So, well, I guess you aren't exactly in the position to forgive a teacher you'll never depend on for creating a problem that you'll never suffer from.
