What are your thoughts about the video? Do you think you could handle a deployment?

Currently in MCJROTC at my highs hoop, and looking to attend the naval academy afterwards. Currently a senior as a friend graduated 2 years ago and was the only from our school to go to the naval academy as he was the only one to apply. And then I will make my decision there 😊 I want to step out of my comfort zone and try new things and the navy seems like that’s it!

Good job recapping your earlier video. Back in the day, RASs were called UNREPs (underway replentishments). Also, back in the day, there was no internet. That was back before Al Gore invented it (ROFL). Thus, as you can imagine, mail call was a huge deal! BTW, there was no Amazon either. The only packages you got were care packages from mom. News came to you via Stars & Stripes newspaper, delivered when there was a mail call. Am glad to hear you positive attitude about the Navy. Looking back on it many, many years later I can say it was a great way to grow up right out of high school. I have never regretted the 6 years I spent in the Navy.

@joeb39495 жыл бұрын
Good shit man .. but as a fellow MA I don’t recommend this rate for anyone wanting to join .. unless you don’t have a problem checking IDs at a gate for your first couple years .. every command is different and some people just get better orders but mine has been a complete dumpster fire .. we have many qualified E5’s who still ride the gate it’s a shame .. with limited to no upward mobility whatsoever.. my seco was a egomaniac that only cared for himself.. I could go on ..going to ship is your best bet but when I was at A school .. only fleet returnees could go to a ship .. best of luck to you man but for anyone out there Ide say choose an aviation rate or gunners mate something to where you’re guaranteed to be on ship and get the full Navy experience
