I colorized, restored and created a sound design for this video of Montreal, Canada 1944, we can see clearly, what is happening, in broad daylight in the city, bustling streets, iconic architecture, and the unique vibrancy of that bygone era
Video Restoration Process:
✔ FPS boosted to 60 frames per second
✔ Image resolution boosted up to HD
✔ Improved video sharpness and brightness
✔ Colorized only for the ambiance (not historically accurate)
✔added sound only for the ambiance
✔restoration:(stabilisation,denoise,cleand,deblur)
Please, be aware that colorization colors are not real and fake, colorization was made only for the ambiance and do not represent real historical data.

My beautiful city. My parents were kids of British immigrants who grew up in Maisonneve they were married in 1947 at Trinity United church. In the east end. This video brings to life things they would remember. They both lived into their 90s. I’m still near Montreal. J’adore Montreal et Le Quebec. 😎

I’ve flown to Montréal 3 times from Australia, and spent months there on my trips! My former fiancée is a Montréaler we ran around Montreal, New York and Australia together. Montréal is my second home and has not changed a bit! I have things all over my home from Montréal including his family’s heirlooms! I have a very long history with Montréal and extremely many photos of me and us in my beloved Montréal!! ❤️🔥🇨🇦

Magnifique balade dans le montréal des années 40. Je m'y retrouvais comme si j'y avais vécu. À part le parc bellemond pis blue bonet, tout était encore là quand j'y ai grandis. Nice revisionist history you got there, sweety. French people in Québec at that time were actually second class citizens, at the mercy of the Anglos who controlled much of the economy. It took the Quiet Revolution in the Sixties for the French people to take control of their own destiny, and the election of the PQ in 1976 to, at last, officialize French as the language of the nation.

@@olrikm The powers that be don't really care about their citizenry at all they only care about business $$$. They just want us to be at odds with each other at all times this way they are able to control things. The fact of the matter is they needed to keep a French territory in North America like Quebec (a New France) for future migration into the area from other overseas French colonies. That is it. After all the other regions in North America had been taken up the English.
