@@marihi2387 yep its the rural schools that are the worst, as bad as the inner-city ones. at least in cities theres magnet and charter public schools. In poor rural ones like mine they can't even afford to fix the roof when it leaks, there's just giant tarps basically, with a pipe running outside. Or there's a class where we turn the heater on and off with a pair of scissors, and the teacher would let everybody sit on the heater bc its so cold. Those kinds of things are common in my school system...this looks rural, but nice. You can kind of tell, the fact that they have a tennis team is one red flag, the mom had zero stress so that's another. I do like the community of small schools tho, and knowing everybody absolutely. In poor school districts you go one step further, you know all the people at the grocery store and coffee shop because they're your fellow students🤩🤩 gotta love a country that divides each school system by the tax brackets of the area, thus leaving poor districts poorer and rich districts richer

Tbh the exchange program are usually in schools that are good, I moved around a lot during high school and noticed we only had exchange program in schools that are safe (tbh rich) neighborhoods, while in the Hispanic, black neighborhoods, no high school offered exchange program. I didn’t really mean to bring race into it, but it really is a factor in my own experience.

I grew up in a poverty black neighborhood, moved into a rich white neighborhood for a couple months, then moved into a Hispanic neighborhood for 2 years.it's true which is not fair compared to the white school I went to bc it had less opportunities and the Hispanic school was so overcrowded nobody cared about education we all just cheat off each other. and fyi I'm mixed black and Hispanic😂😂 literally everyone knows how bad the schools are in certain black/Hispanic neighborhoods but that doesnt always insinsuite negative ideas, sometimes that's just the life it is (this is MY personal experience)

This made me think about all the things I missed out in high school. I was really shy and afraid about what people would say about my accent or just won’t accept me because of I’m from a different country. But when I see your videos I see how accepting they are, respectful and open about learning more about you culture, it makes me nostalgic just the thought of “what could’ve been if...” hopefully I can be more open now that I’m in college, it’s just that I feel like in high school it was easier to make friends because HS is fairly easier than college; in college everyone is focused on them and their careers that they barely have the time to make friends, sadly I realized this late I wish I could’ve enjoyed my time in high school. I hope you’re doing well and made lots of memories I loved your video❤️
