Alfie is an excuse, what is really going on is the anxiety is slowly rising, and you are looking for reasons to stay with the familiar- the airport, Alfie, you don't like leaving the house, what if Alfie forgets how special you are to each other, being away from 'everything' etc.... Anxiety is only a symptom, it isn't the reality of the situation. You'll go, and find the anxiety slipping away, you will have new experiences, fun times, a new horizon... When you come back, everything [including Alfie] will be there waiting for you, you may well find that going away has closed some doors and opened other more positive ones, you might see your way forward in life [often we are too close to see or find solutions]. You WILL be fine, use your headphones and whatever strategies and coping mechanisms you have/know. Allow yourself to have a good time, to smile and to enjoy living your life, once more. You CAN do it, take some deep breaths and be as proud of yourself as we already are.

Well done, mate. Like a sitcom, but real. It's clear you are anxious about being away for so long - but if it is really that nice of a resort, you will adjust. Alfie will miss you, but that just makes it all the better for him when you return. Meanwhile ... you have three ovens in your kitchen?!?

@@joshdolivo I wanted to share an idea for a video with you. "An Interview with Alfie" where you would be interviewing Alfie, and he would respond to you, but it would be your voice as well. Alfie could "talk" about anything he wanted (such as what he likes, what he would want to do, where he would want to travel, what he thinks about his "people", etc.). Just an idea! Looking forward to your next video.
