Found you because I'm an Aussie heading to Japan (holiday) in a couple of weeks and am getting excited watching other people enjoy the country! CANNOT WAIT! I love your attitude! It's refreshing to watch someone who is loving life and doesn't let the small things get 'em down. In one of your videos you talked about having to place things in the stairs/floor when cooking and you just laughed about it. More people need to adopt that kind of attitude!!! Oh, and your videos have definitely made me want to take a trip to Japan after I get out of nursing school. Keep it up :)

You're seriously the most adorable person ever, especially when you're intoxicated. I seriously can't stop watching your videos! They have such a comfy vibe to them, where I actually feel like I'm going on adventures with you. It's been amazing watching your videos here in the States. I've been in love with Japan, the culture and LOTS of Japanese design from a somewhat young age. I don't know if you'll read this or not, Emma, but thank you for the great videos. Heyyoooo. I just subscribed (and discovered your channel). What a lovely tiny place you have and I love your cheery personality. My friend, it looks like your fridge needs defrosting. That is some severe ice there. Looking at the snow-like ice there (when you take out that package that is stuck), it looks like the ice accumulation might have happened because some warm air is getting in your fridge. So, the door might not be closing tightly or you open and close you fridge frequently. Good luck and I look forward to your adventures ( and possibly some stationary finds?)
@TokidokiTraveller8 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for subscribing and watching my videos ^^ yeah! it's a crazy fridge haha, i defrosted it which i think i will have to do frequently :/ nottttt a well designed fridge. I think maybe the fridge seal isn't the best! but oh well, it works ok and keeps stuff cold :) Thank you!

It is probably worth looking in the manufacturer's guide for your freezer. Or if you don't have one then look online with the make and model. Some models the numbering is reversed (ie a lower number is colder) In either case, if you can, empty your fridge and freezer and defrost it completely, leave it overnight, clean out any water, then switch back on again. This will get rid of the ice build up completely and you can start from scratch Really enjoy your videos about life in Japan X
@TokidokiTraveller8 жыл бұрын
It has defrosted just by turning it down to level 1! But level one isn't cold enough so the freezer section doesn't work? So I guess I will have to alternate between level 2 and defrosting on level 1... Lolll hahaha Thanks for watching my videos ^^

One thing I'm so jealous of when it comes to food is the variety! The exotic, sweets, savory etc makes me jealous as! So much better than in Australia! Even the cicadas are out doing those in Australia 😆 keep up the good work and remember to continue to enjoy them as well!
@TokidokiTraveller8 жыл бұрын
The variety of food here is amazing! But i do miss some aussie foods! they don't sell dip here, so i have to make guac and hummus myself, and no raw sausages! I miss sausage sizzles hahaha but the food here is amaaaaazin and i would miss it so much more than i miss sausages and the cicadas are amazing here! sooo loud, i don't remember the aussie ones hurting my ears :')
@marion40288 жыл бұрын
To be honest, i think the first thing i would do when i arrive in Japan is just to go out exploring and eat all the food i can see and find especially sweet food! I'm a sweet tooth! And no way! no dips?! ooh homemade guac and hummus, would love to know your recipe for them! No raw sausages? so you can't have a barbie and listen to the sizzling sound of them cooking? That's a bummer but i would give that up as well for Japanese food any day XD we didn't really have a proper summer this year, only did the last week of summer did we have above 30 degrees Celsius so there were quite few cicadas. I love watching your vlogs, I wish you would upload more than once a week but i know that's asking too much so i shall be satisfied with what i can get! Even on this new acc, i made sure to subscribe to you first! Looking forward to your next video! but for now i shall stalk (not literally)your twitter and instagram! adiós! :)

Here in the UK I recycle everything that is recyclable. However, polystyrene isn't recyclable - I'm not sure if it's the same in Japan, maybe have a bit of a Google search Emma? Sadly I have to throw it in the bin :( I don't believe it can be re-used so that's why it can't be recycled. Bummer! Well done though on sticking to it & wanting to do your bit & recycle / put it in the correct bins, no shame in that!! Seeing you drunk at the end made me lol, you're adorable

You should go up to the fourth floor of the asahi building! (golden turd) they have events all the time, once when i was there, there was a traditional sushi cooking event, where presenters came in and made sushi like they did almost 1400 years ago or something. it was cool and I got free sushi! Another day was a event for making wax food! super cool.

Your freezer might be full because of humidity getting there, by maybe not being well shut or something. I've had this before and I just turned off my fridge so that it would all melt (dont forget to leave the door open), cleaned and after that I it never did that again.
