Obviously you’re a smart resourceful guy. You have all the intuition as well. I’m 59 and started at the bottom like you. It took me several companies in the 80s and 90s then I stayed at one that respected my efforts 18 years. One of the last 5 years I got a $50,000 bonus. I have no college. My advice is don’t give up. Put a skip and a grin in your step. Make your efforts shine and look for the best opportunity. Hard work in the right place will boost you up. I’ve had many mules like you over the years get stuck with the woes me attitude. Keep your chin up and a little tenacity will get you there . If you’re selling auto parts look for a franchise opportunity. Try the meet up with the corporate rep for the territory. They will be aware of the problem stores that need growth. You’re a good candidate because of your relocation ability. You can do it !

Consider a white gas (Coleman fuel) stove. They are the pump up style available in a 1 or 2 burner configuration. A Lot cheaper on fuel and many models are dual fuel with gasoline being the second fuel option. You can sometimes find them at secondhand stores because propane stoves are more popular today. As for the job thing I have found that raises are best gotten by moving around every few years unless you are getting promotions where you're at. Build some experience and then leverage it for more money at a new place. People generally don't like change or uncertainty and most employers bank on that to keep pay where it is for existing employees.
@StriveSurviveКүн бұрын
Thank you I will have to look that up! Unfortunately I had thought if you stayed somewhere and were a harder worker it would pay off but now wish I looked more sooner win win cause if you find a better job they might try and give you a raise to get you to stay. Where do you dream of going, or what do you dream of becoming, I think slowly, but steadily, KZbin viewers will help you get there. On a positive note things are starting to look up. I ordered a 2KW diesel heater on Temu for only $70 it’ll be here Monday I also managed to find all the material I need for free to build a raised platform in the back of my SUV.

Can I suggest you move the gas heater as well because heaven forbid something went wrong how would you get out. God bless.

Do you think there is any way you could probably trade that little truck for a conversion van or at least if nothing else a minivan? That would have to be much more sustainable than that little truck. Plugs are around $5 for a kit with multiple plugs and is a much better solution than continuously pumping the tire up.

know your worth - start standing up for yourself. if you need someone to help work with you video call me ill talk to you and help you boost your self confidence. i hate seeing a grown man beat down like this. you are worth it. you are imporant. the culture is changing, the quiet reserved forgotten man is forgotten no longer. take ownership and control of the rest of your life. the rest of your time on this earth can be expressed in a matter of days, or hours. so dont waste them. thanks,

@MAGA_EXTREM1ST love this. So true. Worth it and Important. Every single one of us could teach each other something. It truly is our uniqueness and confidence that changes the whole ride for as long as we have left.

Gotta get it by any means necessary. You should include a P.O. Box or Venmo in the description

I'm 62 years old he needs to only use that Mr Buddy heater outside and put about an inch and a half of insulation good insulation top back and sides Davenport heater is definitely the best cheapest driest heat you can get but with the smaller spaces he has a 2000 watt heater is the smallest they make and it would be too much I live in a 5 by 8 utility trailer with a 2000 Watt venmo and I can only run it with the back door and the ceiling vent open

I've been thinking about it. I made a business account for cash app but haven't linked it

Hey there! Your vids are actually encouraging, considering the challenges you are going thru. You have shown that perseverance and taking it day by day is sometimes the best we can do. Your journey and finding shelter in your truck camper and making things work to get by is inspiring to many and gives people hope. I know its difficult, but you have people rooting for you. I don't know if you ever mentioned it in any of your previous vids or don't want to, but do you have CashApp? I wish nothing but the best for you in the months to come. Stay warm.

I'm really glad that it is being looked at in that light and I appreciate your comment. I mentioned that I had one but didn't give it out was kinda on the fence but am thinking of linking it in my channel profile thing. Thank you and same to you!

Time to find another job.
@P_RO_Күн бұрын
Ya gotta have a job, and any is better than none if it' keeping you alive. That doesn't mean you don't have other options- always keep your eyes and mind open for those. Every job has it's sucky parts and darn few love what they do for a living, so just aim for the most stable money with the least of what irks you. Never stop looking for ways to improve your life's situation. As others have already mentioned you need to stop buying those 1lb propane cans and refill them instead. Mine now cost me ~$1.50 each when retail they're $5.50+. You'll see the details in a reply below. KZbin is weird, but if you make it big here you'll have the best job in the world. You've got the personality for it but you need to polish up the filming some. You're doing better now then just a couple months ago so keep going and you might make it. Looking forward to see how you put the insulation to work and how effective it is. That's really the most important part of heating and makes all the difference in the world. I'll probably get the Luci story written this weekend; I ain't forgot about it. I just gotta be in the right mood to write when there's that much involved. Take care, stay warm, and keep plugging along; thought and persistence wins!

That's why I'm still there working gotta make money. I have been looking had a recent interview at a Ford dealership wasn't thrilled about the job as I would basically have to upsell stuff to people getting maintenance but I would have taken it cause it paid more. Seemed like it went extremely well and no call back. Had another interview online I made it but the interviewer missed it and emailed me apologuzing to reschedule and never did. I don't know just seems like I wasn't meant to get a job just yet. You tell that story whenever is good for you I understand not wanting to relive anything that might stir some feelings. Oh yeah and I appreciate you feedback on the videos, always working to improve.

You still have several advantages at your workplace that will pay off as our economy continues to struggle. You have seniority. You are dependable. You are well worth what you are underpaid. You do look like you will have success, but KZbin can have volatile payouts.

This is very sensible I appreciate your level headed approach! Thank you for the feedback They haven't fired me so I will continue there until I have a more certain future in KZbin or find something better.

hey save up and if you can make it to virginia, i can help you get on your feet with a better job, a safer place to park your truck and a variety of warmer options for sleeping than sleeping in the truck ive got a diesel heater you can borrow with full 5 gallon tank of diesel to get you started. i dont have much but if your not lazy and willing to go to work, you can thrive here.

Your to kind man I appreciate your offer. It would be nice finding someone to work for and not some corporate place that holds you to no value. I don't mind manual labor or anything. I'm taking steps just need to situate some things.

Why are you only working part-time?
@StriveSurviveКүн бұрын
I dropped down from full time at some point different living situation, but that was a mistake since they want as little full time employees as possible now they won't let me go back to full time. I had a second job at one point not to to long ago until I didn't and was also selling stuff on Ebay on top of that. Also yes I was looking for a new job and even had interviews
@larrycarlston4044Күн бұрын
@StriveSurvive Understood. But I believe you need to find better paying full-time work to help get yourself out of your situation. You can do it. You seemed very intelligent. Don't let your current employer walk over you. Look for something else for your benefit. May God bless you.

I know talk is cheap and whisky cost money, But grind to make some $$$ you can put aside and GTFO of Illinois. The whole state is dead ass with no future. Don't let Illinois take your youth. If nothing else, do it for your truck and get to someplace with less road salt.

Out in my area it seems dead like the mall is basically shut down and everyone is in line to the places that pay well. I almost moved to North Carolina earlier this year had a place to park but maybe it's a good idea now.
