I’m meeting with my recruiter today. I’m interested in being a 42A. My worry is civilian life once I leave the army. Even if I don’t choose to get a degree in HR, would I still get opportunities to work as an HR specialist in civilian life? Or is that a career field where I need a degree regardless of my military background?
@CandyC.3 жыл бұрын
You will def get a good civillian job! Veterans preference is what they call it. Just make sure once you get to your 1st unit u apply for the apprenticeship. They give you a certificate aftwr 2years doing your job in HR saying that u have earned 6000 hrs of experience in that field! That will definitely help. Not all bases have that so just make sure you find out from the education center. Thats one of the main reasons i joined because having the military under your belt helps a lot!

@@CandyC. some people say they like it others say it’s really boring and I’m going to hate it because soldiers are going to come at me getting mad because of their paperwork
@CandyC.3 жыл бұрын
Its not boring. Depends on the people you work with. You determine your happiness. There are always going to be debbie downers. If its wht you enjoy, you will like it. If you have a good supervisor, they will shut down those soldiers that get upset. I dont pay them any mind. A lot of things are out of our control anyway. You will be fine.
