Hey! very interesting comment. I must agree that chefs normally do unsocial hours and sacrifice is taking a big toll sometimes. Being a chef and having friends bakers I deeply respect all your work and amazing attitude. Not many people are able to see what is behind and specially who is behind what they eat. A pan au chocolate is not just a picture on a fancy Instagram profile. But even a person working 10 15 hours a day to prepare the dough, laminate, shape and bake it. Wish all the best for you and your amazing pieces of art !!!

It is very a labor intensive indeed and actually if you don’t like this kind of job - it would be very difficult to do it. You have excellent video production skills, and you know how to show your viewers what they are most curious about. Thank you! Many other day-in-the-life videos leave out the best parts - the actual substance of the work. But you show us the Bakewell tarts, the kouign amann, you show us how you cut and fill the dough. The production quality and level of detail are amazing. Question: what I couldn’t help wondering is, when you make such large quantities at a time, and no one tastes them, how do you keep quality control?
@KrisKazlauskaite3 жыл бұрын
Hello! thank you for your comment, i am glad you enjoyed watching all these details😊 of course quality control takes place but since we do this everyday it barely ever happens that someone forgets sugar or yeast for example 😄(happened in the past though), but yes there are always some extra to try and see the consistency of the quality, if something is not right - we don't sell 🤓

I wish at the time I had this videos to watch and help me! To be there at 4 am usually would awake up at 2/2:30am. Even tho i knew i should be asleep by 18pm I would only go to bed at 23 or later so everything was a mess... now I’m working kinda part-time shifts at a pizza place 🍕 where most days I work from 21 - to 3/4 am so i think is really funny that now I leave work or get to bed at the same time I was before arriving at work... this current schedule is what made look for videos like this of people starting work extremely early or leaving work extremely late ! Que grande!!! Me sorprendió más aún, el final... Tomando mate!

It's so amazing to see a fellow Baker even though you have alot of work, you find some time to yourself. In India we spend almost 4 hours to and fro the work and 10 hrs shift make it impossible for us to have time for us.

es una experiencia increíble! me encanta Londres - hay muchos muchos lugares interesantes y esa panaderia en que trabajo ahora es buenisima tambien. Your routine reminds me of mine at 430am 🤣 I even put my socks out and layed flat on a chair, everything in order just makes you calm on your way to work. That time of the morning is best, no traffic no idiots commuting to work and the same goes for the afternoon best time to be going home. Good luck in whatever you do in your career. I used to be a chef for 26 years but I was working split shifts, a had a little routine. But now I get up at 430am I need to be organised, it just makes you organised in the kitchen and you can get into the groove as soon as you start working. p.s I love how clean and organised your kitchen is, and I love the way you rinse the floor at the end of the day with that barrel on wheels 😀
