Hi @KidsHelpline I’m really enjoying with Kids Helpline, and I’ve been going through this very tough times not just the pandemic but all of my struggles with mental health like losing the game in sport when I support my favourite team and many other stuff that I’ve been going with through the times. But when I call with Kids Helpline and the counsellor answered me and give me more tips to control my body and brain to get my mind off it and move on it’s life. Thanks for all the support.

@@gacha_midnightk-1212 I'm sorry to hear you were having trouble getting through. :( Unfortunately, we don't offer video chat or counselling over webcam, but we do offer chat on phone, email and WebChat (which is typing with a counsellor, kind of like Messenger or WhatsApp). You can call us on 1800 55 1800, email [e-mail] or start a WebChat here: kidshelpline.com.au/get-help/webchat-counselling. I hope this helps and you are able to get through. :)

I learned about this at school and this is really cool I might WebChat with them for personal reasons but yeah Good idea whoever invented this. It’s also asking me questions about suburb and postcode and 1. I don’t know what that is and also I don’t know mine 2. I don’t want my parents to know they might get mad!!

We respect your privacy - you can leave it blank, or say 'don't know'. It's also understandable you might want to keep some stuff private from your parents - talking with Kids Helpline is confidential (between you and the counsellor). Fortunately, there is a service similar to Kids Helpline called 'Child Helpline International' and it's available to young people all over the world. Hi Judd. That's a tricky situation! Here are some things that have worked for other kids and teens: -chatting to parent or trusted adult to get support to call -organising with a teacher at school to call from a private room -calling from a friend's phone -using email or WebChat counselling at kidshelpline.com.au We really hope these help! :)

If something is blocking you from WebChat, we'd love to get to the bottom of it and make sure you - and everyone else - can easily connect with a counsellor for web counselling. Hi Peta. I'm sorry to hear you've had trouble getting through on WebChat. That must be frustrating. :( WebChat can get very busy, especially in the afternoon and evenings - thanks so much for your patience! If you are able to try again and are able to wait, a counsellor will start the chat as soon as they are available and you are next in the queue. :) (You can do other things while you wait, like watch KZbin video or play games; just leave the WebChat window open in your browser and it will alert you when a counsellor is ready). If you can't wait for WebChat, you can always send an email to: [e-mail]. I hope this helps!
