The word is Driver, a conductor is the guy who makes sure everyone is on the train and i believe acts as the brake at the end of the train.

To make the train, you need to place a forward-facing Train Controls block on the carriage, and you need to use super glue to glue the entire wagon together. When building multiple wagons, you should glue them separately. I hope that clears things up. If it doesn't, please reply back!
