I recently decided to make the decision to get back healthy mentally, emotionally, & physically& to start this journey. I also will be on my nursing school journey! What better way to do that, than with sharing this journey with others? I just applied for a PCT job only 3 days a week 12 hour shifts 7pm-7am 🎉hopefully I get it please help me pray 🙏🏾 I did medical Assistant before I applied for PCT so I think I’ll be okay with the job change

You’ll be just fine! Medical assisting is in my opinion a much easier clerical role, honestly. & you’ll see what I mean WHEN you get the job. (I did medical assisting after becoming a tech) which floor did you apply to work on?

I just got hired as a pct on the resource team doing night. I wish I got to wear all black but we have black pants and khaki tops. I wish it was one color 😭 But glad I found your channel.

Lol yea Girrrl. I’m a PCA/PCT also. Have you ever worked in a health care facility with roaches? Crazy!. Don’t get me wrong, There are other nice hospitals in Nyc compared to the one I’m in. But This building is old and you can tell and smell lol. I’ve been considering moving to Texas but no too sure yet

@@candikisses225 🫠 I keep trying to tell myself every facility has roaches because of the kitchen. Even restaurants but… I can’t imagine actually seeing them like you have!!! Lord, I’m sorry. Texas is different for sure!!! But everyone I know that has moved here, has loved it.

Hi honey! 👋🏽 I’m 28 & nursing was NOT my first choice. I’m actually a physical therapist & decided I really wanted to be at the bedside, so that’s what I’m pushing for. I really want to work with kiddos though 🤞🏽. Nursing homes are brutal though, not in the regards of it being hard, but it’s a lot of hard work for little pay, but great experience. That’s just my two cents on being a CNA. I hope you love it! Thank you 💛

Ortho is my FAVORITE floor to work on in the hospital. Only thing that sucks sometimes is surgery days, but I L O V E that floor.

Honestly it depends on how staffed we are. If we’re fully staffed, I’ll have 10, if we aren’t I’ll have 12 & if we really aren’t I’ll have 16.
