Hello ! I agree, Taizé is a such beautiful place... 😍 I am also insterested in becoming a volunteer, but I have a question : do you remember, when you were a volunteer in Taize, if you could go back home sometimes, in the week-ends for example ?

@@paulinepaquereau6673 yes, if you stay long time. (Maybe more than 3month?) we could have “home visit” And even if not, if you have special reason, it would be acceptable. But if you stay only 1-2month but go home sometime is maybe not understandable I think :)

@@paulinepaquereau6673 not once but every two weeks?? it's not gonna be acceptable I think... Maybe once in 6 month is possible but without any special reason, just going home to see family or other reason.. you better not try.. I think.. You can ask to the community or responsible sister.. But if you stay as permanent, you should really stay there fully...without other plans.. I hope you can make a good decision and experience in the future ;)

I am an old man now who reveries upon Taizé fairly frequently. Why? Because once I was a young man who visited Taizé on two or three occasions - one final stay as a long-stay volunteer in the late 1960s making little icons from religious postcard art for the Taizé shop between hitchhiking around Europe and back again to Taizé. The dutiful Taizé Brother of that time to me to God and to God's disparate people was the adorable Taizé Brother Thomas RIP 💋
