You may miss the rotation calls but man they get old fast. Gets old everytime you go to make food you get a call, everytime your head hits the pillow you get a call, every time you try to play with your kids you get a call, Start a project and a call comes in, gotta leave carts full at home depot because you were halfway done and had to roll out. It gets old, After a few years I was pretty much over the excitement for it, Occassionaly I get something interesting that kinda sparks my curiosity but that's about it. Granted I run them a little different than you may have, I run rotations 24/7 around the clock I am never off but I only run rotations, So I can plenty of down time but I always get called out when I definitely don't want to be, Sounds like you did on call by shifts.

Well so my old boss would let me take the truck home on my days off so I could possibly have a chance to backup one of the other rollback drivers if needed. So honestly I was able to make as much money as I wanted. I know that eventually will come as I grow. Brother honestly I started my company because I knew I had a true passion for the work. I had no claims due my fear of losing money. I had over 50 5 star reviews with my name in them for my old company Ace, leading me to believe I had a gift for the job. Now for whatever reason I didn't take into account the liability and stress and time it takes to make a name for myself. I would like to have 1 heavy 1 medium and 3 rollbacks. I feel like that's big enough to make money yet small enough for me to be able to be involved and informed on everything going on.

@@darronmalonetowingchannel getting your name out is definitely the hard part, our company was started in 1997 and has grown in the light duty side pretty well, I’d argue it’s about maximized for our area, any more rollbacks and we would need more locations or would have to run bullshit calls, as for the heavy we just bought it and I have struggled over the last few months to get that side of the operation running, I’ve done a handful of calls and that’s it over 4 or 5 months. 10 grand in billables in I believe 5 months. For any newer heavy that’s in the negative, and I believe even for our older that is either negative or just barely breaking even. So even with over 20 years of light duty reputation it doesn’t at all help with the heavy side, pretty much have to start over from square one.
