i sat in front of my parents and gave them an entire presentation on why i should be in online school. because of that, they started thinking about it and now here i am in online school. do the best research you can and come up with many pros as to why you should leave public school, while also acknowledging the cons, to show that you realize the full potential of online school. its a lot of work, but itll hopefully be worth it in the end!

You need a good reason, I went into homeschool because if my severe social anxiety, you can't just homeschool because you don't want to go to school (that's what most parents think)

zach eberts- you can basically start whenever you want. you’ll have live lessons at specific times. I usually just spend an average of about 4-5 hours on lessons alone.

For me personally I just need a few notebooks because I prefer to write notes by hand instead of type them, pens, a geometry math kit (the school provided online versions of everything you would need but I liked having it in person), a planner, headphones (my school provides them to every student), and of course my laptop.

I go to Texas Virtual Academy which is the same thing as Texas Connections Academy and I’m a freshman. I really like it teachers are pretty good and throughly make sure everyone understands. Actually do u go to TOPS or TXVA? I know U said connections Academy but that’s like saying K12 and it has several schools within it. I’m sorry if this is really confusing its 3 am in the morning.

Hi, I live in Texas and have been homeschooling for about 2 years now. I have never been to a public school before because I always went to a private school. Unfortunately, this means I can not do k12 without being enrolled in a public school. I've looked at a few of the private online schools, but a lot of them are super expensive. I actually plan on making a whole video dedicated to that question because it is my most asked question. But in short my answer is- Educate yourself as best you can so you are prepared to answer their questions. Also, be considerate and listen to their concerns. It depends on the school tbh. I'm an online student and I have 4 to 5 classes per day, without the meetings. The meetings aren't mandatory but it's better if you just go to the live meeting. Anyways, for my school, you spend about 5 to 6 hours per day. But schools like K12 and Connections academy, I think you only have to do 2 classes a day but Idk. So I have idea how long it takes. It all just depends on the school.
