No sooner had I finished watching "Round the island race -The Movie" for the 2nd time, this time cast to a large screen tv for a fully immersive experience, up pops another interesting video from Nestor. By the way, those of you who are yet to watch "The Movie", you will not be disappointed, It's an excellent production by our host Nestor. Thanks for sharing this Nestor, clearly from dear old Weymouth, a place of so many happy memories for me as a young man. From Bob in land-locked Swindon.🤟

Great video Nestor! I'm doing my PER (Patrón de Embarcaciones de Recreo) at the moment, which is the Spanish equivalent of day sailor, so your vid reminded me of the sessions I've been doing. Loved it! And I love the fact that you've got a Sadler 26, which is a boat I really want tot sail. All the best and keep them coming.

i learned to sail on a local river in Toledo (ohio) that went out to Lake Erie in a 15' Rhodes Bantam. It had a genny, mainsail, and spinnaker. I was 16. It came in handy sailing with my dad on his 40' sailboat in Lake Michigan. I took a Coast Guard course that taught me a lot about navigation, charts, buoys, etc. It is a good foundation of knowledge that will stay with you all your life. Cheers!

It was great to meet you on the waiting pontoon in Weymouth, keep up the good work and hopefully I'll see you out and about in the bay!

Thanks Ryan, really nice to meet you too. Definitely will see you about, when I walk past your boat on the pontoon I look at it rather jealously! She looks fast!

@@nestorandhisboat Thank you very much, she is a hunter duette and for her size quite a fast boat with great stability! I believe the hunter sonata which is essentially the fin keeled version of my boat is very popular for racing and even has a class. Always welcome to come for a spin!

Which training school did you use? I would like to do Competent Crew and spend quite a bit of time in Weymouth so would be interested to know who you did your training with.

Bonjour Nestor ! Sais-tu que ton nom de famille "M..." est originaire du sud-ouest de la France ? Sans doute du Béarn dans les Pyrénées. Pourquoi y en a-t-il (are there some of them) en Angleterre ? Nicolas. P.S. I expect you will be the first British to win the "Vendée Globe".

Oui! Donc mes ancestors étaient avec William en 1066. Oui, c’est vrai- absolument! Maybe some day! Hope my French was ok lol. Thanks for the translations

@@nestorandhisboat Your French is perfect, except "ancestors" -> "ancêtres" .
