Loved this!! Coming from active duty to ROTC, I decided to pursue a Reserve commission, so I was curious what Reserve officers do on a drill weekend 😊 and lmao, I got hit with a UA my LAST day on active duty while I was trying to clear lmfao

Do you get drug tested every month when your in the reserves or is it just random?
@shykatee4 жыл бұрын
It’s random! One of my jobs is to actually give the drug tests and how often a unit gets tested is at the Commanders discretion

I am a single mom of one Do you suggest reserves ? I have a degree in communications and want to join the Air Force
@shykatee4 жыл бұрын
Hey love! I know it’s hard to join the military as a single parent. If I’m not mistaken you have to give your guardianship to someone while you’re gone for training but don’t quote me on that def do your research and talk to a recruiter. But depending on what your end goal is in life, you would have to determine which would be better for you. If you don’t want to be away from your baby for too long then I’d say go reserves but if you want full time security and well being for your baby then go active! I hope this helps!

Do you know anyone that is a police officer as a civilian ? How do they do it as a reservist ?
@lilrog09094 жыл бұрын
I'm a lieutenant I work for the BOP and I'm a SFC in the Army Reserves. I got 6 yrs of Active Duty + 8yrs of Reserves + 8 yrs working for BOP I bought back my Active Duty time so I have 14 yrs of federal service! So yeah you can be a police officer. We got tons of LEOs, nurses, real estate agents, chefs, and etc in my reserve unit.
@mairaochoa63293 жыл бұрын
Quick question if you joined the reserved do you have to go to bootcamp
@integrativecreative38533 жыл бұрын
Yes you do! You have to go to training to learn the basics and then after that it’s only once a month and two weeks out the year
@Sademariee._4 жыл бұрын
I’m joining ROTC...which way did you join?
@shykatee4 жыл бұрын
I went to basic first then i did rotc! I chose that route because i wanted to be able to relate to my soldiers on another level and know what it truly means to be in that uniform and get the full experience. But whichever way you choose just do what’s best for you! Regardless it will be a journey! You just gotta make the best of it!

Good thing you don't have to worry about OPSEC. I got the names of Soldiers in the unit, unit patch, the phone number for Ms. Bradham, your division level command..... Fix that patrol cap. And why are you wearing a sand color t-shirt? They were not authorized as of 01OCT2019.
