I’m from Canada and I’m not a law-enforcement officer but I have a friend who I know really well who was my school resource officer? I asked her the question how come you want to stay in a constable position and not move up to corporal or sergeant or detective and she told me. More sitting at a desk, less patrols, and more responsibility.

@@rek3dge115 lol last I checked... because I didn't see all the things that happened behind the scene. Generally I just take my assignments and leave rollcall. I don't usually chill and ask what they do on a normal basis. 🤷‍♂️ that was when I first started 17 years ago. Wasn't until I was acting a few times until I got it.
