The TackleThatWIP program is helping! I’m finally quilting a large top I pieced in 2020 and was too scared to ruin it with my fledgling quilting skills. Decided to quilt the whole thing by hand with large clamshells and so far so good! Thank you for the motivation!

Direct translation of aan het rommelen in English is "Fiddling around". One might also say "Pottering" or to "potter/potter around".

Mooching around - not terribly purposeful or fast. Low stress and getting the odd thing done without planning ahead. Also puddling about (as in casually messing about in a puddle) doing a bit of this and that. Both have a calm and gentle feeling, and a sense of freedom and choice. I would use the phrase ‘pottering around’ to describe the wandering around doing little jobs. I have no idea why, because it has nothing to do with pots!

Congratulations on getting your book to your graphic designer!🎉 It is finally Spring/Summer here in Minnesota in the US. I get very frustrated over watering my flowering plants too much or too little. My last 2 summers were very hard for me. I am finally feeling more like my old self so I'm hoping this 3rd summer will be the charm for my plants. Also that I will get more quilting done. I love to listen to your videos while I'm quilting.

In the U.S. we say "putzing around" when we're just doing small, pretty inconsequential things. I'm pretty sure it's originally Yiddish, though I don't think it has quite the same meaning.
