A Day Inside the Farmers' Protest 2024 | Unfiltered by Samdish

On 13th February, Farmers from Punjab began their "Delhi Chalo" march to press for their longstanding demands that include a legal guarantee for purchasing crops at Minimum Support Price (MSP) and a farm loan waiver.
Their protest march was halted by police forces at Shambhu and Khanauri border points on the Haryana-Punjab border. We visited the Shambhu border and talked to agitating farmers to know why they are on the roads again, how they are being treated by the state and what are their next course of action. So, witness what we saw at the Shambhu border.

I have plenty of videos where these so-called protesters are threatening to kill Modi, demanding Khalistan, telling about modi graph, flying balloons with Khalistan slogans featuring Bhindranwale, and throwing the Indian flag into the gutter brought by another protester. I don't support use of tear gas on our farmers but there should be a way that these protest must continue without disturbing the common public by blocking key highways. This will generate the much needed public support in my opinion. When the general public is against any movement it can't gain momentum according to me. Someone will support Govt someone will support farmer.I m not saying who is 100% right here . But what a real journalist should cover on ground he is doing most of it. Thanks a lot samdish. I am also a daughter of farmer, from a small village of Sonipat, Haryana. My father is also a farmer. I know how much it is difficult to meet our daily needs. I know the value of msp. I have seen my father crying for days when his crops (tomato) sold for 2rs./kg in market. Is this the amount that he really deserves. We wait for approximately 6 months for our crop production and getting sold in the market, and we got this amount. This is really shame. A farmer feeds whole country and still he is not able to meet his daily needs. Shame on BJP government. Shame on everyone who are trying to defame farmers by calling them khalistani or any particular party supporter. Bhai khet mein aake kaam krke dekho 2 din... Fer pta lgega, ek farmer ka dard.

@@gauravnilay well..when emotions get close enough to the heart that something is going wrong again and again,some authority is trying to make fool of the people of lower section to just get what they want or pretending that they don't know anything about it ,is just awfully miserable..the economics are always a hurdle it was never easy, if something was easy no one would try to leave thier houses and protest like this...all they want is a value of thier crops so that they get a minimum assurance that soneone is there to help us in this exploiting world where everyone wants to make a big billion business and no one to care about from where the raw material being produced and what value they get for the raw material production..all we know that if economic progression are on the boom..but perhaps we don't know what portion of this economic growth is shared by a simple producer or what percentage of the profit made by the actual product is being shared by them...until we remove the ultimate growth glasses that we have put on..we won't be able to understand the horrible wastage of thier effort in producing something and getting a penny and all the product services and profit are owned by the top business professionals...i am just not against the growth or anything organised structured business model..they are just trying to request the government that someone needed by thier side in the era of exploitation...and economics are not just too heavy our government needs to be intervening when the prices of crops goes below the production value that has been put by our Annadaata....hope anyone would try to think the point with open mind.

This is why govt brought farm laws that they can sell directly to companies under mandatory contracts etc, here in this video they are saying that what they sell for 65₹ that goes in market for 150₹, everyone knows commission agents are the culprit but these farmers supported those commission agents saying they are like their family, and they are happy with the current system and don't want new laws. @@gauravnilay as your notion,all the profit is being swallowed by the middleman one point to note that there is always a middleman who would carry the materials from the farms to the market or mandi...and let's say by your method they are only paying a small amount to the real farmer..but here the trick is why not fix a price or range of price that is available between the farmers so that even middleman won't be able to exploit a small farmer... if they ever would feel cheated they will collectively sell thier supplies ...but it would be occurring if there is an open market with a range of value that will support a farmer
