CURRENT SCHEDULE
Expect a new video every Sunday and Wednesday at 11AM Central!
How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a KZbin channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

Everything is a challenge to cattle. We triple chain gates on feedlots, and I still will find one chain off from time to time. And they will lick the hardest wire until it untwists. Nothing but time on thier hooves when they have plenty to eat!

Man Ryan,,,, you got a good one with Andrew. May be time to invest in a dryer! You pulled the calves off, let them graze stalks or out in the pasture till snow flies. You can still keep a bale out for them and keep them close to the house.

Another great video! To make your bales last longer, I would chop a bag of cornsilage for more roughage We feed our cows, silage, cornstocks, hay, and molasses in a TMR so we can manage what they eat during and fall and winter months.

Silage bales go faster than dry bales, even if they are the same size. It's the dry matter content that feeds cattle, so you have to adjust for the moisture %. It's a good thing farming is so simple to do, ain't it? 😂😂👍🚜🤠

Those tracks happened during the y drop application. We had a wheel cylinder malfunctioning on the new 2023 Hagie and were able to finally get that resolved. The tracks are definitely an issue but when things like this happen we try to make it right with our customers!

Good luck finding a smoking deal on another semi with automatic hopper doors. The next step is direct sales, fatten those steers, open cows and talk to Cole. You will make more in promoting beef and pork sales and be a great ambassador. The demand is there good luck. At the rate processing facilities are burning and after the flu, your fans want to support you let us!
