Great video, gonna be making my first visit to D&S next month with my aunt k and uncle terry and i sure am hyped for my visit, you sure looked like you had fun, and just watching this vid is making me more hyped for my visit.

Thanks! The weather played a bit of havoc during my visit (afternoon thunderstorms were rolling in quick as the 2nd train was pulling into Silverton), but other then that it really was a lot of fun. I hope you have a good time when you go next month!

Thx, and can't wait to see your video of Cumbres & Toltec, I sadly won't be visiting that railroad but I do plan on visiting it in the future when I get the chance, til then I'm glad I'll be visiting D&S since it's been on my bucket list for many years now and thx to my parents I'll be joining my aunt and uncle on their next trip to the railroad in the next month and boy I can't wait!

Was the original livery the green and yellow? Because if so, I believe the 107? (Not sure about the road number) is still in that scheme. Not sure if they plan on repainting it or not

I'm pretty sure it depends on the length of the train. When I rode on the C&TS earlier that week, they told us they have to add a second engine for the climb up the hill if the train exceeds 8 cars. Not sure what the threshold for a 2nd engine is on the D&S but if I were to guess I would say around 13 cars.

Not gonna lie, these diesels on the D&SNG are starting to grow on me. 101 is looking great in her new paint scheme, and I'd rather see those ALCOs working here then to end up in the scrap heap
