We have looked at the Sun Chill too. Just couldn't pull the trigger on it and then we found the new BOTE water hammock and fell in love with it.

Nice job. I grew up there. You can put in at jenkins creek, also out at bayport and head south. Big Trapon in the winter out on the flats.

(Annie here) Bote Hammock awesome, only with there was a way for an umbrella to attach ?! but then maybe anchor next to your sea bottom umbrella. Hernando beach site crazy as you said, def recommend a couple of sites just north of there. Also wanted to mention if you are in the mood for some fun here in St. Pete, there is a great little boat launch called "Crisp Park" in NE St. Pete. Small launch, but free, and best during the week. Hit the Publix nearby for some lunch fixings (take the 38th avenue north exit off of interstate). Long slow motor to bay, then take a right, and head towards downtown St. Pete. Just north of the Pier along North shore, there is plenty of shallow water opportunities for Bote float. Great views, opportunities for fishing and usually great dolphin watching. Keep having fun, really enjoy your outings !

I would like to see a video of the Gheenoe running the channel with other boats and how to handle it, there’s not a lot of videos on how to run a channel in a small boat like that with other large boats with whitecaps and other boats wake. If you have more video of The running the channel that would be helpful. Thanks

Looks like you guys had a blast reminds me of when we had the reef donkey and we would go out our rough days and get soaked. If you ever want to come down to Tampa Bay we could coordinate meet up at some of the great sandbars we have down here.

Our Gheenoe is a LT25. A live well is one thing that we don't have but wish we did. Custom Gheenoe will build the boat anyway you want, including adding a live well.

Considering the size of the boat, it does well. You just have to be aware of your surroundings and think a step ahead when it's super choppy. Joel is good at predicting big wakes and will slow down and turn the bow into the wake. Also an auto bilge pump comes in handy.
