Statistics shows in India, Nagaland is the highest number of drugs & alcohol abuser. People neglect, users living in denial. society mock, criticizes... They need help, support, love & care nothing to ashamed about it.. In Nagaland only few people understand the AA and N/A (anonymous) program...Addiction affect everyone - not just the person struggling with substance misuse. so it is important for spouses, siblings, parents, children, friends and others to understand how to help. Therefore, it's very important to organize family meeting & family Counseling if possible once a month. My name is Albert and by the grace of God iam a recovering addict.

Well said. Addiction is more like an illness like any other diseases, because they really suffer when they don't use, even if they want to quit they can't because of the withdrawal symptoms which is unbearable. Only an addict will understand another addict, we nagas are very good at criticising and discriminating others, we should instead learn how to show them love and hope, that life is much more than drugs instead of just insulting them.
