When i saw you and your wife, i suddenly remember that one time i worked as a cashier in kuching and this family come to my counter. The dad was english people, so i speak english. I was so shocked when he replied in bahasa sarawak so fluently 🤣. Then he told me that he has been living here for nearly 20 years or more.

This little town used to be a trading center for the neighbouring villages. They sell their goods like pepper, rotan baskets, rubber etc. After that they would buy or barter groeceries and household goods to bring home. In the 90's it got a bit quiter..... Now, the younger generation has found a new source of income and turn it into a very lively place for foodies, friends and family get together. So very inspiring to see. Nick, thank you for all your promo videos on Sarawak.

Hi Nick, i saw many familiar faces, especially my old classmate ( VIP). I have been there two times 5 years ago.....and now it is still looking great, clean & well maintain, Proud to say ...Good Work 'Siniawaners!'. I usually call the place a 'Cowboy Town' without the horses...Lol. Excellent video for the World to see.

Another great video, thx a lot! I am in Kuching at the moment and I already felt in love with this place. Maybe I follow your informations about "second home" in Sarawak! One thing is clear: you have a new subscriber: me (german, living in Spain, 67 years old). Looking forward to your coming videos!
