It’s crazy to think when I was a kid I would sit in my room at my parents house listening to you guys for hours, helping me through what I thought were problems at the time. Now 10 or more years later this song comes through on my recommended videos, on one of the crappiest days I’ve had in a long time. I was ready to throw in the towel on my small business I’ve worked so hard to make. Being a father, having a family and a home, being a business owner. It all just takes a toll on me and today was that kind of day it was almost too much. Who knows if you guys will ever see this but I just wanted to say thank you. My music tastes and genres have changed a little over the years, but it seems like you guys always have something that fits me when the time is right.

Been a adtr fan since 2009. This song hits different being older and being a father now. Oct 5 22 my wife and i had our lives turned upside down. A City trash truck ran through our house and destroyed everything in its path. That night rummaging through what was left. My 4 yr old asked his mommy and I. To play his song. This song. And we listened and sang together. And it was so true. We have each other. Everything else can be replaced. We have everything we need. Adtr thanks for all the meaningful yet head banging music!

Lived for 11 years in North Florida while most of my family and friends still lived in South Florida. I made that drive down the 75 S/ turnpike so many times, I'd recognize it anywhere. That "doing buck 20 on I-75 just to see if I'm dead or alive" hits so different. My 20's in a nutshell. Living through some of the hardest times and racing home to see my mom and dad just to feel some semblance of comfort, being so happy to see them but feeling like my childhood home was never the same after I left, then being crushed when my parents sold it. Driving around my old town. It's like ADTR ripped this straight out of my life. It's hard to describe the emotions I get from listening to this; nostaglia, happiness, sadness, all mixed together.

And the lead singer is now dead. If you figured it out. I was referencing Linkin park. If you want to change the sound and the feel of a band this much. Just stsrt a new one. Using the fan base you made to sell this junk. Is how you kill your band. Fans have resentment

Your music has come full circle with this song for me and my fiancé. We met on MySpace in 2002 when I was 19 and he was 23. He was in Seattle, I was in Tulsa but he had roots in Oklahoma. We talked on and off through the years but always had a deep connection. No matter how long it had been between conversations, we picked up right where we left off but we could just never seem to get the timing right. When it was released in 2009, we knew our song was 'If It Means A Lot To You'. The lyrics seemed to fit our situation perfectly and it gave us hope that one day, everything would work itself out and we would be together. 18 years later and one VERY LONG road trip from Seattle to Tulsa in a UHaul, we are finally together and we couldn't be happier. 'Everything We Need' really hits home and makes me feel so thankful that neither of us ever gave up on each other. At 36 and 40, we have each other. And that is definitely everything we need. Thank you for being a special part of us.

Love that Jon Bellion had a hand in helping write this song.
@Trashxm0uth3 жыл бұрын
@TeeHomas yeah, I read it in a Kerrang! article I believe. But Bellion is one of my favorite song writers. And you can hear his influence in this in my opinion. Still not a huge fan of the new record as a whole though 😪

Oh shit I hella forgot about that hahaha honestly I can’t really hear it too much but that’s sick, I saw him two years ago in SF AND I SANG FOR HIM IN THE VIP SO I WOULD KNOW WHAT HE SOUNDS LIKE but I can’t hear it that much on this song nope nope. Maybe a little but not mucho.

I was just 16 when I discovered ADTR, going through all the hormone-fueled emotional strife that teenagers go through. I'm 27 now(still single 😄) and still as hooked on this band as I was 11 years ago. Just saw them live for my fifth time this year. Wherever life takes me, their music is always there to remind me that there are things in life worth fighting for.

No one to comment one many KZbin videos, but ADTR is such a unique gift to humanity and I can only imagine how many people the music they make have touched/helped Always seemed to bring out something for where I am in life and I hope they carry on with what they're doing... True masterpiece yet again.

I had my daughter two weeks ago and I play this all the time for her. I sing it as a lullaby to her. And she loves it. Thank you for writing and making such a blessed song.

Please for the love of God do a documentary about ADTR. I'd pay good money for it. Favourite band since 07. Still to this day your gig at Newcastle in 2014 was the best I've ever been to. Absolutely god tier human beings 🙌

My bothers band played “Monument” in one of their first concerts and that was the first time I heard of ADTR. I quickly bought an album and not realizing I had just found one of my top 3 favorite bands. I’ve gone out and bought a CD copy of every album and would rock out in my truck as a sanctuary to my inner self. Their music got me through times with friends, depressions, anger/frustration, heartbreaks, loneliness, and some times just to pass the time. People will hate this album, but the real fans that grew up along with the band will be thankful. Perfect name for this album and keep playing ADTR.

This is what mature sounds like. When you go through life and the experiences , it changes you’re mind set and in this case , the sound and genre of the music you make . Well done guys.

The past several months, I've been going through an extremely difficult time in my life after discovering I had a brain tumour and have had three life saving operations recently. I am still in hospital recovering and thankfully have been given the all clear now by the doctors. I am due to be married next month which I still don't know for sure if I'll be able to make but I have put this song down as one of our wedding songs as its such a beautiful song. I just wanted to share this message and want to give others hope in their life if they are going through a difficult time at the moment. If this is you and you are reading this then hang in there as best you can and fight through whatever challenges you are facing! Of course, a massive thanks to ADTR for being such an awesome band that consistently produce amazing songs, you have helped out so many people so keep the good work going ❤❤

As someone from Georgia, this song just fucking hits because I-75 holds so many damn memories. From the random road trip just to cross the Tennessee border with my best friend, to the many many trips to visit my husband to get to North Carolina, to just cruising around to clear my head. And that ending ❤️

Just had our first daughter last year after a struggle and feel like this song could have been written for me. Appreciating what I have in my life and making the most of it all. Have always been a fan of you guys and I like the variation in your songs.
Great song about the 75 from Tampa to Ocala. Jeremy, we share the Dec. 17th bday, same year to be born. Love you guys and the band. "Just hold your breath". Perfect lyric to help me cope with my step-father and broken home situation. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I'm not sure any other song that has come out in recent years, has made me as happy as this song. Fuck yes! We've got everything we need!
I'm not a very emotional guy man. But I listened to these guys through my teenaged years too and they got me through some bein a troubled foster kid and helped alot in my 20s even. Drifted around for a long time. Now Here I am 31 with my 3rd kid on the way and my life is pretty close to perfect at the moment and this song hit home perfectly

I heard this song over and over again, and each time it was like I felt that I was closer to God. And suddenly I find myself crying and feeling God talking to me. I had bad thoughts with fear and I didn't want to be thinking too much and at the time I thought "I need to listen to music" and when I came to listen to Day to Remember I didn't know they had released a new song. And that song was an answer for me sz Thanks God sz
