90s child. When hanging around affiliates in early-2000s, well before the ‘drill’ era, I’d often see the crips and GDs kicking it together. Mostly because of the old 8 ball alliance that’s been broken for years, yet some still observe it. GDs were heavy on the colors (black and blue) back then, too, so naturally folks and locs seen eye to eye on the colors lol.
