I lived these areas in the sixties beautiful little places on earth with a touch of England even the Chinese people loved these areas thats why they came over to see something different, today big business greed from councils all over Australasia have allowed ruin to form we see nothing nice just ugly boxes stacked on top of each other not real biudings boxes for the sake of money.

Box Hill is amazing. Glen Waverly is baby Box Hill but is growing up with the renovated Glen Shopping Centre and with 5 new apartment towers. Also has a 7 story tower with over half the tenants hot pot restaurants

Yeah, there was once a raised level bowling alley complex with a ground level car park under it, and it was demolished to make room for .... a ground level car park. Brilliant logic!

Used to be a nice place, but now has zero charm. Overdeveloped with no spirit of its original roots. One could get the feeling that this place sprung out of an empty paddock 25 years ago if it weren’t for a few older buildings.
