A Day With John Burroughs, born 1837 (1919 Prizma Color)

A low quality digital transfer of a film, but it contains the earliest born identified person in a surviving color film (so far as I know). John Burroughs (1837 - 1921) was an American naturist. Here he is filmed in 1919 in the Prizma color process around his home, Woodchuck Lodge in Roxbury, NY.

Off-topic but I would like to add that people born in the 1830s are probably the oldest generation to have met people alive today.

We cannot know for sure, but there are a handful of individuals who were born before 1830 who lived well past 1921, and conceivably could have met or been seen by some still living today. One of these was The Honourable Katherine Plunket of Ireland, born in 1820 and dying in 1932 at the age of 111, who, to the best of my knowledge, was the last person who was alive when Niépce's heliography process was developed and implemented to make the earliest known preserved camera image.

@@barrymoore4470 There are some threads on reddit discussing the earliest born people that people remember meeting, but birth dates never go earlier than the 1860s surprisingly. I am a lifelong student of early color photography. This is the first time I have seen an example of the Prizma process - obviously a two color process. This is a very rare example and is in quite good condition.
