Loved this video! I have always wondered about Ryan Clements, Shafer, and Rob. This was awesome to see just a little bit more than usual of how Ryan and his friends see and do things. Great job!

There is a lot of good advice in this video, and these are valuable conversations to have in skateboarding. With that said, the claim that this is the opposite of what any financial advisor will tell you is an oversimplification. While many financial advisors will tell you to invest with them because they take a profit from your earnings, a fiduciary advisor is legally required to give advice that is in the client's best interest, not the advisor's personal gain. I have worked with a fiduciary advisor for a decade, and the advice is similar to that offered in this video. It should also be noted that Commune seems to be asking you to do the same thing that Clements is decrying: take nonfiduciary advice that may well be in their best interest, and perhaps but not necessarily also yours. I'm not criticizing Commune; I have no idea what their investment portfolio looks like, and I applaud them for popularizing these conversations. Still, people should be aware. Hopefully this helps shed a little for less experienced investors.
