Hi. I am a software engineer who worked on a software that lending companies are using to verify and qualify loan and credit card applications. You wre right that your Credit Score will be affected on any opened, closed, delliquent, bounced check, etc Banks accounts and Credit Cards. I believe that asking to terminate a Credit Card specially wala pang one year will surely affect your credit score negatively. Although it will not have significant effect compare when you have a deliquent Bank Account or Credit Card na di binayaran or unpaid loans, but still it will have a negative effect on your Credit Score. Your Credit Score is important because all of the Financial Institution were checking your credit score before offering you for example a new Credit Card, new loan, etc. A higher credit score means lower interest rate on loan for example. What you can do is to call your credit card provider, then negotiate them to waive your annual fee. Believe me, credit card companies do want you to retain as customers because that is where they CAN have opportunity to do business and make profits. More power to your vlogs :)
