You can see dens on the compass and generally see which ones are closest, though it would be difficult

Clover update: the names of her pups and Calamity, Pine, Timber, Sage and Lucky. She and her mate managed to take down a mule deer doe ti feed their pups, later they found some junction butte pack chilling in their territory though was able to chase them off. So far nothing has attacked their den. We'll see if her luck continues

Seri I recommend u to hunt beavers at *dusk or dawn* ! Cuz they r most active at that time also to find the *beaver trail* u need to find patches of willow (yellow grass ) near the water creek with also a little path between them where the beavers will come to collect willow wood , grass for their lodges and remember as the beaver will walk past by you don't move ! Try to make the beaver go ahead of u in opposite direction of water ! The more distance they will away from the water the more they will get damage and higher chances of snacking upon them !!

A easy way to keep track of territory for her since she can’t open her map is after you complete the quest for territory, it tells you how many current hexes you have. So if she starts out with 16 hexes but you check back on that quest and it says 15 you know you have lost territory (not the perfect way since it doesn’t tell you where but at least you know if you lose territory) Hope this helps! ☺️

I adopted clover and here's how it's going, she got her to Elk pretty easily, then she met a sleek white wolf, like Badger, but brighter white. She did a trial with him, but he almost got her killed, because he went after a spike elk, w which was partially wounded so they took it on but once they took it down at did not put up the infinity at all so Clover just decided to growl at him 3 times and leave him then she found a darkish wolf and learned his name was Crow. The are a great team, and became mates! She established her and her mate in Slough Creek and had seven puppies.... She already is moving to her secound den. Which she can only stay at for a day. The puppies names are: Hawk II, Meadow II, Raven, Alpine, Orchid, Yarrow, and Timber! She had trouble finding food, causing her puppies to starve, before they could die, she found an elk carcass, saving her puppies.

Maybe some names for the pups could be: Primrose, Foxglove, sage, Hyacinth, Briar, Petal, Fern, Bramble, thorn, Sweetpea or my personal favourite, Cosmos(a type of flower), I think flower/plant names would suit their pups quite well.

Seri...that's not at all how you hunt beavers. Go to the grass, find a trail, hold control - DON'T MOVE, hold shift, then hold the space bar when the bite button appears. Then attack. But wait higher up the actual trail. Where you were wasn't the trail.

Yes. And don’t sit in front of the scent trail. Is the scent trail is flowing towards the beaver, it will smell you. Always sit where the trail flows away from the beaver.

That was the second rabbit that Troyus caught on his own. (Which he had left for Rosetta to eat.) Then he got right on that beaver. So it seems like he might prefer smaller prey or wants to make sure she is always well-fed.

For beaver hunting you go up the trail off of the rocky area, so when you start attacking you can keep attacking before they escape in the river. Also make sure the wind direction is going the opposite way of the beaver so they don’t smell you! 💛

lifetime quest idea! maybe if a pup got injured but survived (like lark), their nose could possibly have been damaged and they can't use scent mode. i think the only exception would be if a pup wanders away because the pups can't be found without scent view (?) i think they can't at least. this quest would make it harder to hunt, harder to mark territory, and harder to interact with enemy packs. also for troyis! maybe his quest could be to catch as many beavers as pups these two have. meaning, if one pups, one beaver, and if seven pups, seven beavers.

Beaver Hunting Tips: 1. They're most active before sunrise and at night 2. You can tell they're near by because those big puffy bushes will be near the beaver trails 3. When you find a beaver trail (Gonna be close to a body of water with a soil trail different than the soil around it) 4. Wait till they're far from the water 5. Make sure the wind isnt coming from behind you, as they'll smell you and run.

Personally, I think Troyus' life quest should have something to do with flowers and butterflyes, because Troyus is a species of butterfly! Mabe a pup chould be named Butterfly, and be born sick, and Rosetta and Troyus whould have to go around the map and find different flowers (mabe 3) and bring them back to Butterfly to cure her/him. I've never seen a bison kill another wolf! One of these days I'll have to watch (from a safe distance) with one of my wolves. I'd say maybe his challenge could be to go denless? Like raise the puppies in a den for a couple of days and than move on until they're old enough for the summer hunting grounds? I've done that with my wolf Artemis and it worked out really well :)

Just behind the hill when you first get to slough creek in first meadow is great beaver hunting territory. First meadow is also great for hunting young ungulates of all kinds! Maybe the wide open spaces will help keep the girl from getting to lost? Not to mention the great dens it's lined with on it's edges. Hey Seri, you don't always have to wait for beaver as you can run across them. But yeah, they bite back but if you have a mate it's easier. But you do want to try get them hunted before they get back to the water.

Heres a trick I use for claiming stranger wolf territory; take over the scent post. If the territory isn't taken over stay in the spot and howl until a fight or it's yours. Once it's yours remark it. There the fastest way I found to take over territory

Don’t try lying in wait too close to the water. If you go back to land, not next to the bank in the pebbles the trail will show up by flattened grass or different terrain. If you lie in wait farther away from the water, you can kill them before they get close.
