Great video. Long form content is awesome 💯 🔥 👍!! IMO, longer videos like this are more interesting. It's easier & much more enjoyable to watch the entire content all at once rather than in bits & pieces , waiting each week for another video or another continued video from the prior week to finish up a project. Thanks for all you do! I know it isn't easy having a family with a young child all while trying to juggle work & everyday life as a father & husband. Keep up the great work! Tony - California 🇺🇸

Cheers Tony! They are not for everyone but I have enjoyed making my 3 super-long form videos. Between them, I've now covered the Workshop, the Home, and my favourite small object/gift builds. The best part for me is a lot of those earlier videos only had a couple of hundred views, now packaged as a single story they are approaching 1 million (for the workshop ones at least :P) We spend so much time filming/editing etc, it is wonderful when your effort is rewarded. However, that's me done for now! I've used pretty much all my existing usable content to create long-form... better get back in the shop in 2025 and start the next phase of Fixit Fingers so there is material for a new long one in 12 months. 😅 See you then! 🤗

What a great intro James! This video will be the backbone of my entire day here, 3D printing a cone lamp in my office. Thanks!!

You likely have never seen "The Castle" which I reference throughout the video but it is shaped by the typical Australian culture of the 1970s and 80s when I grew up. It may be hard to find over there as it tends not to make a lot of sense to non-Aussies but is well worth a watch. The intro took a long time to put together, as I had to find all the b-roll from old random videos and photos taken over the years not for YT purposes, but I am very happy with the results. I can't wait to see how you translate the Cone Lamp into PLA! :D Thanks for the guidance as always.

No thanks giving holidays downunder, just the regular daddy duties :) But while we may sadly miss out on turkey we did go on a daddy daughter date to the museum and saw dinosaurs for the first time together so that was pretty cool :D Thanks for tuning in Barry and Merry Christmas!

@@FixitFingers anytime with your kids is a good day. I’m a single dad of 5 kids and have done it for the last 10 years on my own. It’s hard to balance work and family but what I’ve learned over my 42 years is I can’t get the time I missed back so I spend as much time with my kids as possible. I had no clue about yall not celebrating turkey day I apologize. I’d love to visit the down under but won’t be in this lifetime unfortunately. I do good just to pay the house payment and keep the lights on🤷🏻♂️😂 hoping to see some build videos soon. I’ve watched your shop grow and it’s motivating me to get mine in order. Thanks again and god bless you and your family

Great video James. I hope it’s as successful as the last. It’s playing on the tv and my boys IPad for double watch hours. I’ve been sneaking back inside from the workshop to catch some of the video!

@@fathogwoodworking Legend Ross cheers! I'm convinced the first one was a fluke and won't be too disappointed if this one taps out early, but we might as well give it a crack!

@ every video always helps. If it gets 10% of what that first one got then it’s a good chunk of watch time in the bag again.
