Denver also has great transition offense. Hopefully the team can make some adjustments after OKC did so well in transition.

Y’all also need to talk abt how brown ghost in the second and was a TO machine and would wave off Tatum when he shai or a smaller dude on him in the post

We all just let our bad habits show when OKC went fast and strong. Agree 100% on the refs take. It's the easiest place for Tatum to grow rn but apparently we're trending in the wrong direction.

Scal Set it on the broadcast the other day, and I’ve been paying attention to it Ever cents. Our transition offense is weak

Honestly, we need to work on our transition office. What do we average on points per turnovers when we turn the other team over I feel like we barely score when we turn the other team over. I could be wrong. This might just be And I test thing, but I feel like when we have one on two advantages we mess it up every time almost. Not every time, but about half the time we don’t convert on our turnovers.

I don’t think it’s just eye test I think you are right, BUT I don’t know or think that it’s been a long term Issue with this current team. It seems to have just become an issue over the last 5 games or so. And Scal even mentioned it a few games back because it had become so glaring, but I noticed as we continued to get worse and worse in that area he seems to have sort of shut up about it, for what reason who knows, perhaps he just doesn’t want to expose them for something thats become somewhat of a real issue. When I first noticed it was with Pritchard. When he would have the ball on a clear run out, but doesnt feel confident to trt and go up and lay it in with a taller defender trailing him. It happened a few times and it was just UGLY. And then it seemed to leak into all of the other players as well. Tatum. AL. Jaylen is and has always been our best transition player, but we sadly cant always have him be the one with the ball. Tatum is normally pretty good just putting his head down and getting a layup as well. Honestly I don’t think this is a normal issue for us. Hopefully it’ll level out and we’ll get back to normal. Could just be because Peyton has hapelned to be the one with the ball on a lot of our recent wide open transition plays and due to his size and discomfort about his size( probably Fair!) it’s just not a great situation for him. But I’m positive they have looked at this on film and tried to help him and his teammates come up with good options to use in these situations in the future. Also, idk if you remember, but that was one of our worst issues as a team in the Warriors finals. It might sound crazy but if we weren’t as terrible in transition it might have actually swung the series, we were that bad. I can’t remember who I was watching back then, maybe Jason Timphr on hoops tonight? Whoever it was pointed out how terrible the Celtics had been in transition all series. It got to the point you could tell it was getting into their heads. They had sometbing like a 94 points per 100 possessions transition offense. Obviously it should be wayyyy higher, above 120, maybe even 140 or so for a small sample size. So thars definitely creeped back in a little bit.

@ great response to my comment. I appreciate the time you took to make this response. I completely agree, andd it is wild considering the athleticism on this team with exception of Al hauser and pritchard. It’s a problem that should be addressed

Doom prophets beware. The C's misses were mostly on wide open and uncontested threes. Obviously they weren't "rattled" by OKC's non-existent perimeter defense. It was, however their worst 3 point shooting night ever. IF, the Celtics have even a slightly below average 3 point shooting night, they would have won the game going away.

I completely agree. I went back and watched the second half again and in the 3rd qtr we withstood their initial charge and kept it at 10. Then from Like 9 minutes to 4 minutes the thunder scored TWO points, and we missed 2/3 FTs, and also like literally 10 wide open/open 3s. The thunder felt dead in the water. No life. Hauser had 3 looks in a row that would have been huge for us. But we missed literally all of them in that period. And then we got a bit sloppy and FINALLY we let them make a couple 3s by their role players and let the crowd get into it and that’s when their offense finally did enough of a spurt to really make us get anger wirh the situation and implode. But yep it was just a terrible shooting night. We aren’t going to miss all of those 3s often. BUT I guess I would like us to have an “open in cade of emergency” set of plays that we can use in those situations.

I'm more concerned about the duration of this less than .600 ball play. Other teams are deeper, younger, more athletic period.

But I honestly did not watch this game. I’m superstitious and I did not watch any of the finals Ron. I just watched the games after without knowing the score like I recorded them and we won the chip so now I don’t watch when we play good teams, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. My remarks about transition offenses were based on the one clip you showed me in this video, which really wasn’t a bad offensive possession. Sam just missed the shot. And our previous efforts on transition attempts
